Finally got this bad boy back from Doug and the rest of his crew at ComicSketchArt.  Missed the boat on the Venom Alpha #1 presale...hopefully get one down the road when the prices cool off on ebay.

100% True... Fred is foremost a true fan of Dell'Otto and all of my interactions whether in person or on PM's have demonstrated that.  His posts are most helpful to me and others who appreciate seeing new Dell'Otto art or getting heads up on pre-sales when it comes to exclusive covers.    I truly hope he continues to post Dell'Otto and we can all just get back to bringing the positive vibe back to this thread.

metal 5 Raws ship Jan. Cgc 9.8 ss go to Dell’Otto in Jan, then to Cgc in feb. back to Bulletproof March/April in our hands April/may would be my guess.

Just ordered my raw virgin metal..... the convention editions for 4 and 5 didn't go on sale yet correct?   Thought  you had mentioned they would be available but it shows sold out

Being a huge Dell'Otto fan, I will look to purchase the NYCC cover as well as I happen to like it and it feeds my OCD as well .    Understand the gripes folks may have with this on how it may impact value of the original virgin and technically this is the second time this has happen if you want to bring up the Metal #1 logo and then no logo virgin controversy.

Hopefully this will not be the norm and all future releases will have some disclosure or maybe go with an ultra limited run like 250 etc if needed.   

Metal #4 Dell'Otto is on the horizon and I have faith with the people at Bulletproof doing the right thing moving forward.

Also, I'm not sure I would get that signed.  There may only be a few signed copies on the census right now, but there's only a few copies, period, on the census.  If you want a Dell'otto sig on something, I would personally choose a different, less expensive and more common book.

What condition is your copy in ? Many copies were produced with spine/rear cover damage. Feel free to post some scans of yours and the community can give you a very informal assessment of what it might grade out at if you should choose to send it in.

Well it's still summer but how about a winter soldier that was a 9.6 but with a second press went up to a 9.8

Ok now was hoping the second press could do the same for x23 but alas she's still a 9.6

And finally the crown jewel of the submission was originally a blue label 9.4 with a second press came back a 9.8 I give you Superman/Batman 7 French Edition

These books just came back from CGC...pretty happy about the Iron Fist as I believe there are only 2 9.8 SS on the census and only less than a dozen universal 9.8.  I'm hoping Jaydogrules takes a closer look at this trend .

Also stoked about the grade for the Euro Virgin Gamora...The only copy in the census.

I'm a big SS fan but if it was me I would leave that unicorn in it's slab.  There is always the risk something can go wrong during the process and having a book go from a 9.8 to a 9.4 would have a devastating effect on it's value.  There are only a dozen of these 9.8 unicorns in it's existence and you're proud owner.

I was thinking of getting Scott's 9.4 copy and then getting it signed by Dell'Otto but with that grade, it can only stay or go up from there.   If you are gambling man, then just get Dell'Otto.  Stan signature as of late has been illegible and who knows where he would sign it.  Too much what if this or that may happen personally it's not worth it.
