  1. Congrats bro...it's going to a good home. I am glad you ended up with it as I mulled pulling the trigger on this earlier in the week :).
  2. Hey J, Good luck with the rest of your slabs....it looks like the ASM 667 went quick as expected!!!
  3. That sucks.....just like DKIII and missing issue #2 in his run.
  4. Bummer...same as the bulletproof virgin copy minus their logo in the back. I rather they tried harder to get a sketch virgin. Does CGC make a clear distinction between the two issues or will they be lumped into the "Dell'Otto Virgin Variant"?
  5. Lovely new virgin cover offered up at the comic mint for Defenders # 4.
  6. Congratulations.. his best rendition of Joker in my opinion!! I assumed this baby was slabbed correct?
  7. There was a recent commission opportunity for London Comic Con for about 1500 Euro. Again, it was explicitly stated no comic blanks but 11"X 17". Only 6 slots.... which were sold in seconds. Example of the type being offered:
  8. Those are awesome... Congrats!!!!.. Love the details of these blanks compared to what he is putting out recently.
  9. I was following both of those as well. I would consider those buyers very lucky since Dell'Otto hates doing blank covers and you won't be able to secure one in the future unless you have some type big time $$$ exclusivity with him. Even luckier are the holders of his previous blank cover commissions as you can tell he put way more effort and detail into those as the ones you see now. You hardly see those in 9.8's since he dug deep into those.
  10. I got a couple raw virgin variants with the intent of getting them signed by Gabriele sometime in the fall. I rather prep these myself then having him decide where to sign it. I've seen a bunch of his books signed across the body of a character rather than using the available negative space. In this case somewhere above the ax would be perfect If there was an ultimate limited signed SS, then that's a whole different story..
  11. Yes!!! can't wait to see how the virgin cover will look like. Btw doesn't it bother you that there was never a DKIII #2 Dell'Otto cover? I told Hank to get out a 2nd or 3rd print cover going to get that run completed. Too late I guess...
  12. Nice color and signature placement... Congrats on the book!!!
  13. Got my books back from the Scott's Collectibles op and it was well worth the wait. Almost pulled that 9.8 straight but considering that Venom #1 and Ghost Rider were polybagged, couldn't be more pleased.
  14. I figured in the buyer's premium which I remembered was 20%! Yes unfortunately these are one of a kind pieces with their passing...
  15. Awesome Grail Books and GLWTS.... I did see a recent cast signed 77 book in 9.8 go for over 13K so these are priced right.
  16. Can't wait to get my first batch back. I did opt to get them pressed prior so hopefully not too much longer
  17. Euro mail call today...awesome looking cover. Figure at least one of them off to get signed by Gabs..
  18. Congrats bud....a must have in any Dell'Otto collection
  19. Happy Easter everyone.....wanted to present the newest acquisition. The Immortal Iron Fist 2nd Printing. Very tough book to get a high grade....out of 32 graded only 5 universal 9.8. I have a couple in the hopper getting Dell'Otto sigs but I doubt they will reach 9.8.
  20. Nice grab there...deals to be had if you know where to look...
  21. Well in my case, I will ask the facilitator to have Dell Otto himself remark the label run number on the cover next to his signature. I think if everyone does the same, Dell'Otto himself will realize and recognize the reasoning behind it. It will be yellow label just with a small remark but no green label and will maintain the value.
