Finished season 4 yesterday. It picked up a little, but fell short (IMHO) of what seasons 1-3 accomplished. S4 seemed to spend too much time on how politics (global and local) divides us. Not to say that message should not have been immersed in the plot - just wished it was less so, and spent more time on the space aspect. Which brings me to S5 (if it will be renewed): what will the focus be? As S5 will be at a point that is close to our own timeline, why not focus on some discoveries James Webb could make? What if Webb discovered an authentic sign of intelligent life elsewhere? The transition from revisionist history to potential future (predictive sci-fi) could move the show into a more speculative approach to our history in space.
