  1. Kevin, I'm seeing conflicting reports Re: Lights at the signing area BB

Now, i know for a FACT the signing area is set up for VIP passholders to use said express pass, It even states right on the back of my ticket that it includes said area but i'm seeing reports on facebook from Fan Expo staff that VIP is not allowed in this area for the lights signing. Can you please confirm my vip pass will work for her signing?

I've gotten MANY sigs in the signing area previously using my vip pass and this should be no different.  I'd think this would be false advertising from Informa if they deny vips this PAID privilege.  No where does it state that VIP is not good for any type of special signing here.

Included is a pic of the back of my VIP badge.

If you could look into this matter it would be greatly appreciated. I know the south building is your domain so i'm hoping you could clear the air here.

    Kevin... I love you!

    woohoo!

  3. I really like the Natali Sanders book. I pre ordered. I think you guys are a tad to picky imho. The greg horn books on the other hand are just terrible. One character drawn once with costume layovers.. its so bad the og harley has new harly eye makeup on. He just drew a mask layover. It's lazy as hell. Doesn't even look like harley at all.  Rushed and a money grab. pass.

I'm normally a big Horn fan, his Powergirl doing pushups is epic but this... i dunno man.

  4. I wouldn't imagine so. VIP is generally only good for the signing areas in the south building and thats it.  It's kind of a bummer they did that as it will make the tiny ally ways really congested on a saturday. I hope there would be some staff on hand to form lines.

Also Kevin, if you had anything to do with booking said "singer/comicbook writer"  i'm buying you lunch!

It looks like the artist referenced photos of 3 different people for this.  The faces makes it look like these are 3 different characters.

That might be the most picky comment iv'e ever heard!

Clearly they are 3 different Harleys. Arkham, OG Harley and Margot robbies Harley. If you want 3 of the exact same image go get those terrible Greg horn books which are exactly the same with 3 different outfits. Thats lazy imho.

The draft schedule is up, and changes are being made.

McNiven, McGuinness and Larsen have all asked for table signings, so those listed signings are scrapped. Jeff Lemire will only be in the signing area.

Looks like that Canadian singer/comic book writer is coming after all... details pending...

Allrite Mr. Boyd... if you're messing with me haha is this canadian singer/comic writer who I think it is? Because i'll take back every negative word I said about the celeb booking team. This is a game changer!

So the special ticketed events aren't on the draft schedule.

The Jim Lee Ultimate events are on Saturday morning at 10 (non-CGC) and 11 (CGC).  The Spotlight on Jim Lee stage presentation is Saturday at 5:45.

Thank you sir! Do you know where the signings will be? I'm assuming the Jim Lee live on stage will be in the John bassett theater?

As someone who has been involved in the SS program for 15 years.  I will say that "hey we bumped into somebody and they signed" has never been allowed.  Everything has always had to be approved in advance, even on chased books.  A location had to be provided, a date had to be provided,  and some kind of proof (ticket stub, picture from the signing, playbill, program, Ect. ) had to be provided.  For example I got Rudy Giuliani to sign a Marvel 911 book at a motivational speaking event.  It was approved in advance.  He signed one item and I provided a program from the event.  It is real and rare and all rules were obeyed.   I am sure somebody might question it.  George Bush showed up that day also unannounced walked up to me and asked if I wanted him to sign it (true Story) and I said no because it was not approved for him to sign the item for Signature Series.   Witnesses follow rules, and even though people question books (most likely because they have not figured out a way to get the signature themselves) I would like to believe that all signed books in the SS program are legitimate.

That makes me feel a little better actually.

Sounds like what you are saying is that it's ok for a facilitator to "facilitate" at a show, but not ok if someone wants to just get a witness and go to a show. And that's the way it already is.

Joe Collector can't call up CGC and say he has a witness and is going to a con, lcs signing, etc etc. Now Jane Collector can call CGC and ask for a witness to come out (one that CGC would provide) for a LCS signing or something and if CGC deems it worthwhile they could...but they might just ask one of the aforementioned facilitators who is nearby if they would like to go. Not sure how that would work exactly.

    Not at all.

I'm saying, Joe who is a collector and his friend mike who is an official cgc witness decide one day to scribble something on a comic and pawn it off as ya we bumped into Samuel L Jackson in hollywood and he signed a comic, and said comic gets a yellow lable. It's very grey IMHO. It's too easy for one shady witness to help a buddy out and make a ton of cash on the side.

I think if there is a signing at an LCS or a convention and there is proof said celeb was there then it gives more solid credibility to said signature.

I was also naive in my original statement. I wasn't aware CGC had stopped this method, but seeing as how it was allowed before brings credibility issues to me personally of some of these super rare signatures.

I don't question any of the signatures gotten by yourself or any of the facilitators here. I'm 100% confident they have all been gotten above board, and I know with yourself personally you always post pics on your FB page with yourself and said celeb :)
