  3. Got mine Cgc'd I could see it being tough to get tho. He had some of the longest lines iv'e ever seen at a convention.
  4. I'm glad I got to meet him at Fan Expo Canada last year. It was one of those childhood dreams come true moments for me. Truly humbling. Highly suggest anyone going hits up his pannel as well. Super funny guy.
  5. I just logged in to say this ! I finally read my marvel diamond previews with the solicits for these books. My god... It's like even marvel doesn't know what to do. Some books back to legacy numbering, others not. Some heroes brought back, others not... It's a shame. The only 2 marvel books I still pull is Amazing spider-man and All new Wolverine and that's probably going to change. Peter going back to woe is me peter, and i'm sure they will strip laura of the wolverine title and bring logan back... The only thing I can see that is gonna save marvel is a "New 52" esc relaunch and promise to buyers that they won't go back on it. They have totally basterdized my asm run. in between 700 and now 789 I have what 3 different volumes of spidey comics? i'm done. I used to love the x-men but that whole franchise has been so butchered in the past 4 years I just don't care anymore. I think it's time for some new blood at marvel. Time to show Axl and Joe the door. Maybe put Joseph Loeb in charge, Hell, let some of the talent take the reigns! I'd love to see a marvel run by Dan Slott!
  6. I'm more shocked no Francis Manapul. Canadian as well. I always get some great remarked books from him. And he's an awesome dude to chat with.

  8. Ya, In the main signing area he will only be doing RAW sigs and its limited to 1 per person. There is a special CGC jim lee package for 189.00 canadian that allows you 3 witnessed signatures. These special packages are limited to 100 people only. So if you have 29 sigs to get and you want them witnessed and slabbed your best bet is to hit up a facilitator there like Gotham Central to see if they have a private signing with Jim. I'm pretty sure his cgc siganture fee is around 25$ US per sig. Anyway you slice it 29 books is gonna cost you a pretty penny after grading sig fees and facilitator fees. It was super hard for me to widdle my huge Jim lee collection down to 3 books but I went with Batman 608 2nd print, and both covers of Batman 619 (Heroes and Villains)
  9. Thanks for the info. I swear I heard something about CGC not doing bigger books anymore with the new slabs tho. Maybe i'm crazy
  10. Iv'e heard a couple different things now, Is there a size limit to a book that can get slabbed? Thickness wise? Iv'e heard CGC isnt slabbing larger comics anymore. I have a copy of the now infamous Savage Dragon 225 adult cover I was going to get signed by Erik Larson and slabbed but it's fairly thick. (100 pages) Will cgc still accept these? Thanks in advance for the help!
  11. Awesome, thanks for the clarification! Just a crazy good comics guest list this year. CGC is going to love me..
  12. No Way!!!! Thats tough man. As long as you're in isle 400-1000 you'll be ok i think. It's the junk vendors in the 12-1700 isle thats a ghost town.
  13. Hey Kevin, I know you're busy gearing up for Boston but had a question.. Got my guidebook today, in the exhibitors I'm not seeing CGC, Action Labs or the Campbell store? Also are the comic vendors down this year? picking seems a little slim, maybe lots of new guys iv'e not heard of before? Nice to see Harley back. He always bring the good stuff!
  14. Yes it does. http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Amazing-Spider-Man-Chromium-300-W-Marvel-B-NM-HIGH-RES-SCANS-/152640038482?hash=item238a0e2652:g:RdEAAOSwA35ZefDt
  15. Ouch... I'd like a pic too but yes i'd venture to say you were screwed. Was this an ebay purchase? Did you read the add carefully? if you paid via paypal you can get your money back at least.
  16. Oh god.. just counted all my books for CGC SS that I will be subbing, and not including any exclusives which I don't know about yet, I'm already at 30 books... This is gonna be one hell of an expensive year! Not one celeb signature tho which is disapointing. Unless I can get a sketch from Justin Roiland.
  17. I don't question the value of any of these books, Hell I just sold a Gal Gadot signed book for 800$ but with these chased books (I'm gonna take flack for this I know it) I question the validty of the signatures. It's just too easy for one shady cgc witness and a buddy to fill in a form and say ya this was signed by some super mega star and sell it for insane money. If cgc has stopped this chasing method then I was unaware and retract my previous post. I personally believe the only way a book should get a yellow lable is from a convention where said celeb was in attendance or a private signing where a full time CGC official is present. That being said I'd love to own one of Charlie's books! I think those are both insanely cool! but Would I pay more than a couple hundred? probably not unless I saw the book signed in person. too many variables which would make me question the sig.
  18. My point was making every lable going forward state what convention the book was signed at. It's too easy for a shady cgc witness to say ya we saw him on the street in hollywood and he signed it! then sell it for 5K The whole chasing thing should be banished with yellow lables only given at cons where there is proof said celeb was in attandance.
  19. Well thanks to Kevin the comics side of things this year is the best one yet! I'm excited to get lots of CGC ss books done for sure. The celeb side of things tho is looking pretty grim. Iv'e read all the tweets and FB messages from the fans to fan expo and there are 1000's of ticked off nerds haha (Myself included tho!) I spent 600 on VIP tickets again and this years celeb list is the smallest and worst ive seen in years. Nothing but sidekicks, hasbeens and recycled guests who have been there every year. I def feel slighted by this and I know i'm not the only one. To make matters worse they increased autograph and photo op prices with these celebs this year astronomically. 2 weeks ago Anthony Daniels sig was only 80$ it's now 115$ Plus they are selling photo ops without releasing a scheduel yet, how can one plan a photo op that won't interfere with say a signing, pannel or sketch duel? I'm not sure who's in charge this year but they have done a god awful job. I think its funny Rhode Island, the usa's smallest state has a comic con with more star power than a con put on for a whole country. Just my 2 cents.
  20. I may open a can of worms here.. hopefully not. I completely disagree with this chasing method and cgc should not allow it. Look, I understand most of these cgc official witnesses are trusted by the company but money talks. Who's to say one unscrupulous witness and a friend decided hey a leonardo dicaprio sig would be worth a lot of money! I can see someone faking it for greed purposes, which is why I asked previously to know the story behind the dicaprio sig here. I think CGC should ONLY accept subs from events like conventions or where CGC full time employed officials are in attendance to further guarantee any sig. Like how the old lables from circa 2005 were when it said Signed by so and so At Wiz World Philly on whatever date. There is too much grey area for me with these super rare sigs that it's enough for me to question the validity of them. Now I know you're going to say well cgc can't be at every con! but there are trusted likes like Rich, Torrey and Dre who are and a simple check of the show program will show said celeb was in attendance. Thoughts? I'm not calling cgc out here just saying money talks and all it takes is one person to do this to compromise everything cgc stands for.
  21. I got one from him last year as well. He did a really great job but he's really rough when handling your book and the 9.2 I got from cgc showed. Hopefully he'll be a little easier when handling the book this year. Bill McKay is there as well who does zombie tramp covers. I might just get one from him.
