  2. Stunning books Art & Rick! And the page qualities are jaw dropping... Thanks for sharing those beauties! -bc
  3. Wow - just found this putting the last bunch back ! Not sure to post here or in the "Lost and Found" thread. -bc
  4. That's a killer cover!!! Very Nice ! Here's the same cover, different #...think another boardie is responsible for this as well. -bc Canadian? Both are fantastic! I recently picked up a MT #93 and would love to work on these early horror books more seriously. Too funny! My only other Canadian is a MT...I like the early "Marvel Comic" round logo. Plus, how could you pass up "a Big Extra Value magazine"? -bc Just to get it back on the original theme...(I apologize for the decaying scanner bulb).
  5. That's a killer cover!!! Very Nice ! Here's the same cover, different #...think another boardie is responsible for this as well. -bc
  6. Can never get enough of Googam! Very Nice pickup! -bc
  7. Great colors & registration on those! Nice pick!
  8. Humunah Humunah Humunah ! Fabulous to see those together ! A recent & my only Pedigreed Pre-Hero. If this was from someone on the boards (in the words of Kevin Ayers) "I'd just like to say, Thank you very much!" -bc
  9. Wow! That Journey into Mystery is really clean ! Were you time traveling? -bc
  10. Beautiful books all ! Snagged this last night in the Clink auction:
  11. Great Mysterious Adventures set Cheetah! More re-recent than recent. Just found this mixed in with some old financial statements. Amazing Mysteries #35 - Canadian Edition. Probably purchased this off a boardie a decade ago via ebay. -bc
  12. Very Nice SC ! Thanks again Porcupine for the effort! Made we want to post a few as well. Journey Into Mystery 49 Strange Tales 62 Strange Worlds 2 Tales of Suspense 22 Tales to Astonish 1
  13. Thanks for reminding me that this is a member of the club. Great books! Love the cover of the JIM 20 ! Thanks for sharing these! -bc
  14. Fantastic collection/obsession & thanks for sharing the pics ! -bc
  15. Reported. Again. Ironic feedback that he left for another seller: "Fast shipping! But item still rusted. Seller needs to be aware of what's true." -bc
  16. Thanks Bronty! The TTA24 in CGC8.5 set me back $976 (a wee bit more than tree fiddy). GPA has a 8.0 copy selling for $390 in 2012 and $311 in 2009. No data for anything higher than the two 8.0's as a guide. I was hopin' to snag it for around $800, but that was passed several hours before the closing bell (that's why I didn't bid on the Strange Worlds #3, JIM74 or ST99). The great cover centering & Off-white to White pages made the cost easier to digest. Plus I don't see any PH books in either the July or August CLink auctions yet, so I may have time to rebuild the funds over the summer. Take care, -bc
  17. Nice pickups all! I really wanted to bid on that Strange Worlds #3, but needed to save my cash for this from last nights CLink auction: Just noticed that this came out the same month as Korvac's TOS22. -bc
  18. Wow - a Pedigree set if I ever saw one! And the #7 has White pages -bc
  19. Great books Jim! The weather effect/lack of words/injured soldier on the War 12 cover really sets a serious adult tone for a "funny" book. Classic. Do you know who did the cover? I can't seem to find any name on it from the pic and there isn't anything in the Grand Comic Database. Thanks again for sharing! -bc
  20. Nice Chilling Tales ! (thumbs u I picked this up at a small book store in Ann Arbor, MI about 10 years ago for $1.50 (a little less than three fiddy). -bc
  21. Great guess ! Didn't realize I was favoring TTA... This one is a little toasty on the edges. -bc
  22. Couldn't pass up this childhood classic "Return of the Gorilla-Man" -bc
