You should clarify if or why your having it regraded? Was it graded before and then deslabbed? Or do you just want to 'reholder' for a newer slab? If you're just getting the reholder, nothing will change, there will be no regrade.
I wasn’t planning on having it regraded. Was just wondering if it were slabbed today would extra staples cause it to be anything other than a blue universal?

So I'm loolking at buying a big key low grade key in a 1.0. Anyhow the label indicates the following: "Cover re-attached with extra staples not manufacturing. Tape on cover and interior cover".
I'm not as concerned with tape and while a detached cover sucks...oh well. My problem is the extra staples. Is there a chance this results in a conserved grade or restored grade? Thanks in advance.

Just saw this...congrats and welcome back. Really nice looking book and I think this is a "sweet-spot" grade for this book right now

That's because -- all due respect -- compared to FF and ASM the art and storytelling in these books are vastly inferior in quality. There's a reason it became a reprint book after 66 issues.
That said, there's still a lot of great stuff in this run, and I'm a passionate collector. I'm pretty close to completing it, but certain issues seem never to crop up in high grade.
Which issues are you/have you had the hardest time picking up? I've picked up 1, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 28, 49, 58 & 64(and ih181 and gsx1) so far in grades I consider collectible.I'm curious which to go after next or might start focusing on some of the bronze xmen books.

Just closed a big deal that included trades, time payments and international shipping. All went very smooth. Rob’s a great guy to deal with and an asset to the boards. Looking forward to dealing with him again.

I agree, resubmitting will be a waste of money but the OP seems to think pressing is magic so I wish him good luck.

I'm just curious, is something going on currently with this book to command that kind of price?
Just wondering why would you ask for more than $1,000 over OPG value?
I sold my 8.0 oww privately and locally(no shipping or insurance) within $50 of this price on Thursday....it never made it to this sales board but you can see what it looked like in the pgm section

I can't speak for dealers but as a collector when I find a book I want and buy it there's a couple hurdles we have to go through up here. 1) shipping and insurance costs can be much higher and 2) Duty fees can be a killer...ie: Ebay's Global Shipping program while convenient for sellers, adds like 20% to the cost oif books.
Fortunately I've been lucky to find sellers that help keep additional expenses down. For those that aren't Canadian-friendly I simply avoid buying from them unless it's an absolute no-brainer.

Am scheduled to get the books in a couple days but thought I'd bump to see if anyone wants to take a shot at grading them. Will post pics and grades as soon as they're in hand

I know this is unfair without getting to see the books but just pretend they're identical.
I'm looking at 2 Silver age Marvel books that are the exact same issue in the exact same grade(9.4), same price($1,000 'ish) and even the same page quality(OWW). They both look nearly identical so I pulled the graders notes. I have an idea which one I'd prefer but thought I'd throw the graders notes up to see what everyone else thinks.
Oh, and the books were graded within 16 months of each other.
