  1. A good friend and fellow local collector is starting to downsize. He offered me all his Bats under 200 - here's some of the highlights. To say I'm feeling quite fortunate would be an understatement
  2. Deal fell through. Book still available! @Iceman399 I can deliver
  3. Sooo many things going for it. Yellow, War bonds, 3 bad guys getting zapped, total classic!
  4. First I'll take it in thread trumps all PMS. Shipping free in the USA or Canada. Paypal or check. No returns on graded books unless there's a real issue, then PM me. Upgraded so this copy is now up for sale. $1875 LAST SALE 3.5 @ $1850
  5. Jordan bought a big book from me on time payments. All payments on time or early. Super easy to deal with. Hope to do business again in the future. Thanks again!!
  6. Sold Dave a SS #1. Super easy to deal with. Paid immediately, great communication. Thanks Dave!!!
  7. My take is this : The .15 centers were printed at then end of the US run. They were intended for sale in Canada, which would make them a Canadian price variant not a Canadian version like the later publications from National and Simcoe, which had no ads and different content. They are so rare because there probably weren't many printed and - "In the fall of 1941, waste paper shortages occurred in Canada because laborers who normally cut pulpwood were enlisting for military service. Fearing a shutdown of the pulp and paper industry, National War Services informed the public and voluntary salvage committees about the critical need."
  8. I assume these would have been done at the end of a run. Perhaps the ink was running low/out? Any printers in here
  9. I do not think it was printed in Canada. It may have been intended for sale in Canada as the following issue, Batman #3 does have .15 cents in Canada printed on the cover. 3 graded copies so far. Gotta be a few more somewhere. The only other .15 centers I have seen are the Tec 43 (Crippen D copy) and 2 More Fun #59. Interesting to note also it looks like the .15 centers have the yellow under Batman's hand along the edge. Anyone seen this on a .10 cent version?
  10. 1.0 - great book in any grade!! Definitely worth the $75..
  11. Saturday morning acquisition. Batman and football.
  12. Maybe I'm just optimistic but I still don't see the cause for pandemonium. 2900 deaths worldwide is terrible, but the flu killed 55000 in the US alone in 2012-13. I'm glad I moved about 1/3 of my stock portfolio to cash in December, this represents a huge opportunity to buy in at a huge discount in the the few months. I'll take APPL at a 20% discount.......
  13. Don't collect Dell but I picked up a collection with these #s. 907, 917, 934, 960, 986, 991, 992, 999, 1003, 1027, 1045, 1059, 1076, 1078, 1089, 1096, 1103, 1111, 1123, 1126, 1138, 1146, 1147, 1159, 1167, 1187, 1200, 1211, 1252, 1254, 1280, 1287, 1291, 1341. Looks like the only one you need is 917. It's got a bit of curve, detached top staple at cf, some rust on staples but if you want it you can have it. PM me if you do.
  14. Pretty sure it's 1940 Fawcett. I've been able to match the outside to a few titles but not the inside.
  15. This back cover was on my Batman 8, which is obviously incorrect. Any idea which book(s) it might be off of? Thanks
