  2. I agree There are several books there I would love to have Me too. Beautiful books.
  3. Nice book October. Good to see you're enjoying those Planets.
  4. As Jackie Gleason used to say...hamina hamina hamina I agree. A beautiful cover.
  5. I gave the forum who bought it a discount, so it went for around $100. He has hooked me up in the past so I cut him a deal, normally I wouldn't have budged off the quoted price of $125. Probably should have asked for more to begin with. Nice colors on that copy. Definitely a nice book.
  6. Those Planets sure do get expensive once you get into the 8.0 and above range. Thankfully, the later Jumbos and Jungle books are still reasonably priced in HG.
  7. That is an amazing looking copy Gozer. I just sent mine in to get CGC graded, and I'm thinking either a 9.2 or 9.4 tops. I think your book will remain at top of census for sure. Here's my copy:
  8. Wow, beautiful book. Presents much better than the given grade.
  9. No you're right... an example would be Wow Comics #23. You can get the Church 9.2 copy for $1450 or you can Upgrade to the Rockford CGC 9.4 copy (highest census) for $150 less ($1300). That's just crazy to me. I understand where you're coming from if we take the myopic view of only considering the technical (9.4 versus a 9.2) grade of a book. However, experienced collectors know that Rockfords tend to have brown interior covers, and the Church books usually have whiter pages. So in reality, the Church copy will almost always be much more desirable than a Rockford ...even at a higher price and in a (slightly) lower grade. STEVE Got Larson? Yeah, I agree with this statement. When I got Church copy of Rangers Comics #19 in the mail last week, I was stunned at how glossy the cover was. I can honestly say that the colors on that book looked better than any other GA book in my collection.
