  1. One day I'll get around and pick a copy. I have a spare. Another HG beauty.
  2. Some great covers there. I especially love the Eerie #2.
  3. Thanks mattbird, I really tried to put together a nice run of Batman's, Sensation's, Superman's, etc. a few years ago, but became quickly frustrated when I was beaten out on about 90% of the auctions. Good Girl Art in general is a much easier task to put a nice run together than let's say Action war covers, due to less competition (especially outside Ebay). I've still kept these suprehero GA comics (as well as my key SA and BA books), since I like having a diversified collection. I actually try and keep the number of slabbed books from each title below 10. I guess I'm more of an anti-completist if anything.
  4. Unfortunately my #'s 5, 6, 11 & 15 are currently sitting in a safety deposit box
  5. I realize WW #105 is an SA book, but what the heck.
  6. Wow, those are some nice books CentaurMan.
  7. Thanks for starting this thread, it has been a lot fun seeing other people's collections in this format. I just hope more people participate in the future when they have the time.
  8. Hate the game, not the player. I actually want to thank each and every golden age collector on these borads for opening my eyes to this genre. If I hadn't joined the CGC boards, I would've still been collecting readily available SA and BA books in VF to VF/NM condition. There's nothing wrong with that, but I hated over spending on a book one week, while 2 or 3 better and cheaper copies showed up the next. At least with GA books, by the time a better deal comes up, a couple of years may have already passed.
  9. I'm very jealous of your Action #30 & #33. Those are very high on my list these days, and 7.0 is just the grade I'm looking for. By the way, my birthday is August 1st. I purchased the #30 and #33 (along with #22) a few years ago when I wanted to put together a collection of superhero vehicle lifting covers. I'm hoping to revisit that strategy once I get over my GGA craze.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if I switched to something else a year or 2 down the line. I went from moderns to bronze to silver to GA superhero, and now GGA in a matter of 4 years. I have a feeling one day I'll come back to collecting early Batmans and Supermans though. We'll see.
  11. Absolutely, but first you have turn your collection over to me.
  12. To be honest with you, the only reason why I've kept the 5.0 copy is because it has better QP than the 8.0 copy.
  13. I finally purchased a digital camera, and felt that this was the best way to break it in. I'll post some more when I get a chance.
  14. Did you call for grader's notes? By the way, that is one beautiful looking book.
  15. Congratulations Scrooge, great looking set.
  16. Very nice books FD. Congratulations.
