  1. I’ve never posted pics of one of the best statues in my collection.  Erik Sosa is one of my favorite sculptors and he knocked this one out of the park.  Also big props to Vince Vell customs for making this kit into a perfect 10.

Maybe someday I’ll have a 1/4 to go with it.

CONGRATS  635!  what a find.   Do you see comics at good will often?

First time!  I’ve always heard of people finding books there so I look occasionally with no avail.  I was donating some stuff and I asked the girl at the back door if they had any comics and she said 5 big boxes got donated a few days ago but they were only down to 2 boxes.  I’m sure 1st Zoom was probably in there at one point because they had a large run of the Johns Flash run still left.  Found a firestorm 3 but the top staple was popped out so I put it back.   Still a great score with the 635!

Also got Deathstroke 55 & 56, 3 copies of New Avengers #8 (vol. 3), New Avengers #10 (vol. 3),  X Men #4 (vol 2), Savage Dragon #2 newsstand but some of those aren't that hard to find. It was a good day as well, because I found Batman #570 for $5.

I’m still out looking for the end of that Deathstroke run!!  It’s gonna drive me crazy until I finish it.  Congrats

  4. 4.5 off-white pages.  I'm very happy.  There are two large color breaking creases on the cover.  Without those this book would be even better.  Still a great book to have in any grade.  My 35 is getting graded now.  I feel like you can't have 1 without the other.

  5. I can tell just from his personality in his videos that he is closed minded, and will just shove his opinions down your throat.  I watched one video where he said he could grade as good, or better than cgc, and that people could just come to him to grade their books.  I'd like to test that theory.  Someone go to his store in Vegas with an entire long box of comics and see if he'll grade them for you for free?  If cgc isn't a service that he doesn't agree that you should pay for, then he'll grade all your books for free, right?  Give me a break.  Hate CGC or not, there is no reason not to believe that having a 3rd party company grade and slab your books is not a good investment or a good practice to sell your books online.  I would hate to sell someone a very expensive book and I missed a restoration touch up or something else inside the book, but that's just me.

My grading eye needs to improve. I'm getting 50% passing at BEST on 9.8 pre-screens. This is after I've had friends help me with pre-screening process.

I can tell you I've sent books in that I inspected over at least 5 times, and when they've been rejected and returned they have multiple spine dings on the spine.  I never submit any book that would have even 1 spine tick for fear of rejection.  My only guess is it's bad handling by the post office, CGC receiving, or I just suck at packaging my books.  hm
