Cap 2 could be on this list. USA 9 is the often forgotten “where’s Waldo?”of Hitler covers.

Cap 2 definitely could/should be along with many others, didn't want to have too many caps on the list.

Haha that's very true along with marvel mystery comics 64.

Great List Yaniv!! I know it’s not super rare and i don’t personally own a copy but I like Young Allies #1 quite a bit. Weird 20 would also imo replace a few of those including DBH1, Speed 31, and Catman 20 but I am a little biased I just like everything about the cover...

Thanks Gino! Can't go wrong with Hitler and a captured Churchill on the same cover! Tough book and one I really need!

It has become common to dismiss certain characters (books) as "not the popular version you'd expect." Jay Garrick isn't Barry Allen, Alan Scott isn't Hal Jordan, but it's just as fair to point out the obvious:

The Batman we know doesn't use a gun, break necks or kick people off of buildings.

The Superman we know doesn't doesn't dress up a like a miner to crash a wealthy socialite party, he wouldn't drive a car and intentionally crash into another driver just to get himself arrested.

So much has changed in these characters from the GA to today. Yes, a different name/origin is a difference more glaring at first sight, but if you're going to knock Flash Comics #1 and All-American Comics #16 as "not the true/popular Flash and Green Lantern", then you have to knock Detective Comics #27 as well.

The Batman we know wouldn't mock "a fitting end for his kind."

Well said! (thumbsu wouldn't have the characters we know and love today without the originals

  6. Just to add to dom, I too know allot of "diehard" golden age collectors under 30. There's more of us than people think, so in terms of the golden age market sustaining, I believe it's incredibly hot right now (especially classic covers) and it will continue to rise. I too collect some silver age here and there but there's nothing quite like the golden age (that's where the real fun is), the fantastic art, history and significance behind them is simpy unprecedented.

  7. So this is interesting... I got my copy of Brick Bradford 6 graded by CGC and decided to check the census out of curiosity. What I found was that this copy was put under "better publications" for the publisher and is the only one in the census under "better publications" yet there are 28 out there under the publisher "Standard Comics."

Are there really 2 publishers for the same book or is this just a QC error?

Here's the book, there are no visual differences on the cover that I have noticed. 22532007_10210777590495696_719011612_o.thumb.jpg.c9ec5dfc353967b3b7a04aa014043b5c.jpg
