I am looking forward to black panthers new book and was eyeing the alex ross 1:75 but hearing it has 300k+ orders idk if it will be to hard to find does anyone think it will be going for $75 or more 2 weeks after release?

Well he doesn't get a robin suit in #50 so #51 might be the 1st 2nd(3rd?) In continuity past origin non cover apperance as robin? Or not

I stopped somewhere around greedo give or take a issue the guy at my lcs did say they didnt get some of the latest ones because marvel switched up the requirements but i was already out of the game by then so i didnt care

Gamestop has 2 Kinds of variants .

Regular Gamestop Variants available in store to anyone and Powerup Variants only available online when spend your power up points. Powerup Points are not easy to come by and the amount of points to money spent makes the variants very expensive if you break it down.

People have said they have seen powerup variants in store but i doubt it. I know 3 managers and they say they have never had powerup variants in the store. I'm a huge gamer and i've been to many gamestops and have only seen the regular variants.

Guess i was a little slow to the draw and i have never seen a power up variant in store either

I'm surprised to see Spider-man/Deadpool #1 regular doing so well at $15.

Would have thought it was WAY overproduced and too recent.

Yea, hindsight it was dumb to not preorder a bunch, but I had the same thought that dealers would go heavy on them.

The GameStop is a different animal. I don't know of any others that have held value. If you do the math on what you have to spend to get enough points for one its a pricey book.

 

Am I reading it wrong or are there 6,000+ Gamestop locations?

I "do" know they have most of these variants on lockdowm.

I tried to bribe a manager that comes in for some type of regular trade deal.

He said they don't get many of each.

 

 

Gamestop offers 2 types of variants the regular store variants which can be ordered by anyone and the power up rewards variants which can only be ordered by rewards members with rewards points and are usually limited to around a few thousand copies each. I think spiderman/deadpool was limited to 3000.

Nice bowens! I started to sell some of my fullsize to found some of my comics but now that he is pretty much out of the marvel game im starting to regret it a little bit seeing that buying them back now is no easy task.

That is an eye opener and i do go to a bunch of shops while traveling haven't been burned yet (as far as i know) but some shops have been straight forward with restored issues that i have came across thanks for the info

Those turtles variants are kind of nice i just dont know if my wallet agrees with me

Just came out today. IDk what homage it is.

Sad that it is maybe one of my least favorites out of all the hip hop variants (for sure bottom 3) that is a 1:100 and getting so much heat. Then again its great for my wallet had it been one i liked i would have been upset. Anyway sugar hill gangs: rappers delight i believe is the album could be wrong but pretty sure

I got an email from his rep this morning that his new Black Panther cover is going up for sale I think its a variant for #1 the variant may be from bulletproof comic and games. It looks pretty sweet

Not interested in the book but that iron man cover is pretty nice i may snag 1 for the right price. I hope dell otto gets a shot at one of the early issues of the new black panther run

I originally only got copies to read then i seen how great it was and started putting together a set for collection purposes i came in very late but am now a fan im sure this will continue to happen naturally and copies will start to dry up pushing the value. But some sort of show or movie would speed up awareness and value the fastest

Started reading it a few weeks ago. Have read the first three trades. Great story so far and I can't wait to read what happens next!

I started a few months ago its a great read in trade format i couldn't imagine getting it monthly the suspense of whats going to happen next kills me so im saving up issue to read all together

Poe is turning out to be a big fan favorite but u quit on these 3 issues ago dont want to get sucked back in

Mentioned in the pre-heating thread.....I think the print run on this one is pretty low...not many for sale at the moment. May be going high since Midtown had a few for $21.00 a pop.

As far as the book goes......i love the unlikely team of allison and james it is such a complex dynamic so many elements to that relationship.

All the outrage over iron fist being true to his comic counter part confuses me. Change a chrecters race....outrage! Keep it the same....outrage!!! I give up
