By any chance has anyone been compiling the last few AF15 sales that haven't been included on GPA?

I agree, but sometimes I am able to get over it if the right book comes along.
Oh absolutely. Same here

I have tiers, mostly based on budget. These are my collection goals, not necessarily what I have (yet).
Mega Keys (Hulk 1, AF15): 4.0
SA/BA Keys: 8.0
CA/Modern: 9.6/9.8
I have some exceptions. Eye appeal is everything when it comes down to it. I'd prefer to get 5.0s as my Mega Key minimum, but I'd never be able to afford them.
I like nice, round numbers on my CGC books. Probably some latent OCD thing. .5s make my eye twitch

Try heading up highway 1 from Santa Barbara sometime in a convertible or sports car...
Just don't drive too far north. About 1/4 mile of it is buried by a landslide near Big Sur

As an attendee, this was one of the better SDCCs for me buying Silver/Bronze back issues. I came home with a short box full of low/mid-grade Marvel and DC books. It's been years since I've found vendors with decently priced bargain bins to sift through. This year had a few and I spent the majority of my time on the floor gleefully digging.
Just my 2 cents.

Nah, it was plenty awesome.

Thanks guys. I got to see it in person... and I'm still confused. It looks like it hasn't been trimmed, but those edges...
I told the seller if he had it slabbed, I'd buy it. Just can't take the risk otherwise. I'm not a fan of trimmed books. -

Anybody have any data on what a 1.0 is going for in this current market? GPA seems relatively outdated compared to all other sales in other grade ranges.
I've seen a bid on C-Link for a 1.0 at $8500... is that a good place to start or is that too wacky?

Do you guys have keen enough eyes based on these pics to see if there has been any restoration or trimming? I'm not seeing any, but it's always hard in not-so-pro pics like this.

Thanks for the feedback guys

Will never argue against having both in a collection.
Pretty much where I fall. It shouldn't be AC260 vs SC30, but AC260 + SC30.

It looks like the exact same book, before and after the scan. I can see no visible improvements. IMO, the book looks great as a 3.0 but way overgraded as a 5.0 . IF this were in the PGM thread I would say 4.0 is about right. Sorry.
The pics don't do it justice, it was ripe with bends and non-color breaking creases. But don't get me wrong. I agree. I thought it would come back a 4.0....
Doesn't matter much to me though. It's not going anywhere anytime soon. -
