Preacher is my 2nd favorite comic series of all time. Was really excited for the show...but didn’t grab me. I feel like if they would have made it more of a 90’s style setting like the book vs his more modern take it would have been better. And the casting is just too far off. Good actors no doubt, but I don’t think they really bring the right authenticity to the characters. Although I do enjoy the casting of Cassidy. I know Seth Rogen was a big fan of the comic...but t seems like he just wanted to do his own thing with it and thought that would appeal better...not for me and doesn’t seem to be for others who loves the comic. Id love for early Walking Dead prices to drop. I think some collectors will hold though because they don’t want to let them go for cheap. If I can get a #1 for $500 bucks someday that’d be awesome. I think #1 will maintain a $1000+ for awhile though. #19 still seems to do pretty well. The others...depends on the day.

TT 12 is first BWL on cover so I think that added to the hype.

That’s true about feedback not being very reliable. I’ll admit that a couple times where I thought a book was undergraded I still left positive fb. It seems I actually end up blaming myself rather than the seller...which sounds hilarious now that I think about it. And a time where I bought a mag and it was shipped without any protection in a yellow envelope. But in that instance I sort of expected it. Perhaps I just have a very high tolerance for poor selling tactics. Come to think of it I’ve never left a negative fb. One time a seller deserved it...but still didn’t do it. A seller would have to really burn me to get a neg...so far nothing too rough as I mentioned earlier.

I buy off of eBay all the time and have only been disappointed a couple times

I don’t watch every early issue like a hawk, not keeping up with #1, but from eBay I’ve still seen some high prices on the early ones. I remember seeing a really beat #19 (6.0 at best) go over $100 and I thought that was nuts. I know it’s a key but this book was crinkled and the spine was filled with ugly color breaking tics. I watch #7 and #8 a lot since I need those, typically see them end around 6-70. Seen a few get bid up over $100. That was the same day as the mid season premiere. I still need #27 and $100 for it seems a consistent price in the 9’s. 9.8 would see a nice bump I’d bet. I’ve been waiting to find a #27 for around $50. I try to be patient on filling in my Dead books. Would love to see prices drop Sorry to sellers that bought em high and want to unload. But they still have their high days.
