As for the best stories that's relative...I buy the hardcovers to read the stories and when I'm looking to buy a real golden age Bat/Tec I'm pretty much a "cover shopper" because i like to use them for display. The bigger keys are typically out of my price range too (but with a little discipline you might be able to save for one) but I can find cool books for $150-300. Good deals to be had on the sales forums. Keep an eye out on eBay. There's also a good thread that lists websites that sell golden age books. Happy hunting!

I had fun this year...parking was pretty simple except for the darn road construction that held everything up. The floor was PACKED, I wouldn't doubt they broke records in ticket sales. Pretty happy with the books I found. I was itching for some PCH but didn't see any classics I could drop all my $ on. Like CoC 19, SSS 6 (I did see a nice 7.0 that was out of my range) ToT 15 etc. Dale Roberts had a lot of misc but none I could pull the trigger on. Weird Tales of the Future 5 is high on my list. I happened to walk by a booth where a dealer had a raw copy on a stack of books and I overheard he was in negotiations to buy it. Saw a $900 tag on it...if it would have been for sale I'd have tried to negotiate. Can't remember the booth. Such a great book. Lots of great books and dealers. Did see some prices that were way off IMO. Cosplayers didn't seem to be in the way.

Did not make it here on time...according to tracking it is still in Italy as of 2 days ago. Bummer...but I'll have it for the next con. I knew when I ordered it that it might not make it but some reviews said they ship out faster than expected, so I took a chance. Still a lot of fun to be had...and I suppose I'll get to focus more on digging for some deals.

Looks like he is signing Saturday at 12:15 (after his panel with Frank Miller) then again at 2:45. Although I would guess that Saturday would be the busiest times.

I agree, this first issue hooked me. Easy to follow, and the portrayal of emotions through the art was impressive. This book will sell out with good reason.

Less than a week! I've been fiddling with the C2e2 app and it's pretty neat. Like how easy it is to make a personal schedule of panels and signings. I need all the help I can get to keep my head in the game. Im planning on cosplaying (and spending $100's on books too!) but I'm worried the main piece I ordered from etsy won't arrive by Friday. It shipped today out of Italy. Anyone think it's possible for it to make it to Iowa in a week?

What a situation man, sorry to hear it. It's very likely this is a gross example of "ME ME ME!" in the collecting world.
