  1. I know not yet slabbed, but can't contain my excitement on this one. Massive props to Greg F. (not sure if he's on these boards) for this one. Sasha Banks, FNC Variant got both this and the higher print run variant signed. (P.S. if you are a Sasha Banks/WWE fan, there will be one kept for my PC but I had multiples signed and off to CGC.)
  2. how much shipping to Canada? interested in the LEGENDS SS.
  3. wow great cover, and that silver is perfect, and sig looks so clean. is that just a fine tipped sharpie?
  4. Sorry if I'm missing the obvious but I went to the FB and couldn't find the "current stock" of what's offered? Or is it literally any of the major titles?
  5. Iron Fist Vol 5 #1 Cover B Midtown Exclusive J Scott Campbell Venomized Variant Cover is 10$ too...
  6. HMMM.... Man-Thing #1 is the RL Stine book I just remembered. There's value there potentially.
  7. Anyone want to play a little game and guess which of these ends up being the top $$$ book after its all said and done? Think I might put my vote on Gwenpool, though smart money is probably on Wolverine/Matina. (Print runs probably decide a lot though...)
  8. Just did some quick math and this is just an amazing service and deal, especially factoring in series you go long term with.
  9. so when someone dies and you own the rights to something they created, you Don't think they should be able to make money on it anymore? Take that sentiment through to what that really means in its totality for all art or inventions and see if you still feel that way. ...and Apple would cease to release any new iPhones, or related products As for celebrities... Prince, Michael Jackson, Elvis, 2Pac, Marilyn Monroe, etc. all still live as cultural icons exploited through their estates licensing their images. So long as it's not done in bad taste, it's not such a horrible situation. It's probably true that half the stuff being released, Turner would reject seeing the light of day and instead re-work them tighter, but that's no an option and fans seem to like it, otherwise they'd not buy it. Great points, all around; the bolded part was more what I was getting at. As some of the covers admittedly look like unfinished sketch book cover ideas, or something done as a commission on a blank or at a con.

Take that sentiment through to what that really means in its totality for all art or inventions and see if you still feel that way. touché, point well taken. I don't ever mind being convinced to see a new way of thinking and you lads are right. I'm just a huge Turner fan and it's colored my perception of things admittedly.
  11. Besides the money factor; there's also the fact that you never know would Turner have agreed to do these variants if he was still with us? Probably yes, but as running an artist's work w/ the Big 2 without their consent is kind of icky to me.
  12. Yes Aspen has tons of his un-published art work, and as they did w/ the Rebirth Variants I believe they simply have them colored by Peter then released. I'm a huge turner fan, so I"ve bought most of these variants; but I do feel weird about them profiting off of his work after he's past, without him having any idea of the projects they are being used on.
  13. Reviews The reason it is a spec goldmine, among other things, is that the reviews range from good to great. It isn't rare to see a highly rated book on Comic Book Roundup but it is quite uncommon to see a new book with nothing but positive reviews. BTW, there is a lot of useful on that site. From critics to fan reviews, you'll find something that you like if you take the time to look. Don't want to come off the wrong way, there's no heat at all, but just so you know I check Comic Book Roundup every week. Not trying to come off like a tool here; but I legitimately was asking what everyone here thought about it; as the majority of this thread has been about spec value and prices. I do value the opinions of the people here on content of the books we invest in as well as the $ and cents. This is still comic book message board after all. Thanks Square Chaos, I got a similar impression tbh. I see. Not taken the wrong way. I was using comicbookroundup.com because they're comic readers just like you and me. They're also normally quite diverse in their opinions as I'm sure you already know. All good buddy, no hard feelings whatsoever. I've just been unable to pick up a copy myself (due to its rocketing prices) so was curious if the book was hitting the right notes for ppl here.
  14. I doubt he'd go for it, simply because its so much easier for him to simply sign a bunch of books he has lying around; versus setting things up with a facilitator. Not sure he'd be able to make enough more money if he's weighing it against his time.
  15. just looked that up, what a beautiful cover!

  17. Wow beautiful books GLWTS. I guess the Brazilians know how to print up Gem Mints.
  18. I know this is a spec gold mine; but how's the story/art in your guys opinion?
  19. hi all, looking for any chance to get WWE Stars to sign some of the new boom books, particularly Sasha Banks, Finn Balor or AJ Styles. Anyone know if they do any appearances other than official WWE ones?
  20. Hope they nail the Forever casting as that could really help this book move. Anyone been killed off GoT/WD or had a canceled show lately?
