  1. I want to visit your LCS in the worst way!!!

it can sometimes be a very nice store to visit, it's the same CB store where the famous 9.6 JLAs came from.

and it seems that everytime I'm in there, someone has brought in some vintage books to sell to the owner.

You really got that at your LCS?!?!?

His LCS is insane. I picked up a Black Cat 50 and Weird Tales of the Future 2 there once.

I've got an excellent LCS, but that's unreal!

It would be even better if dealer didn't raid the place every so often. :gossip:

  2. I'm not sure if I set a record or not, but it was incredibly easy to open relative to other slabs I've cracked out.

Jesus H. !! what was the grade on that beauty ??

    8.5! lol:cloud9:

I bought a 9.0 Toronto from Heritage that looks like a FN compared to this. It just proves that a grade can't tell all.

:pullhair:...How did I forget these auctions.

  3. I had to save all my pennies for this one, but it was worth it. I figured I won't get many shots at the WM copy of what may be Heath's finest horror cover.

I'm going to try to set a record for time from receipt to cracking of slab.

I was wondering if anyone from the boards might get this one. I was initially going to hit this copy hard...but decided to pass when I began to get the feeling it was going stratospheric. I applaud your taste in pre-codes and really wanted it, but I had to "settle" for another of Weist's White Mountains. :shy::cloud9:

Congrats to you on this GREAT book.

I was watching all those and forgot to bid. I really wanted this and the Uncanny Tales 1.

  4. Nothing scarier than a hanging man with boney ankles! :o Nice book! (thumbs u

Well since I had to return my JiF #12, I eased my pain and purchased this from Wrightson Fan. Thanks Scott!

AWESOME. I love graveyards, coffins and Matthew Kirscht's black cats.
