  1. It is the highest for that issue but I know of a non-overhang Shadow that got 9.2. I think pulps with overhangs will be extremely rare in 9.0 or higher.
  2. Happy to have this copy in the collection. I don’t see pedigree copies of this come up often.
  3. I like the Iger Shop work in the Dear Lonely Heart issues
  4. Happy to have this one in the collection before the Heritage romance auction
  5. Change to Weekly Heritage Auctions Pulp Auction Format Begins With March 26 Auction HA.com/122413 Please note that beginning with our March 19-26 Select auction, pulp magazines will be moved to the start of the first session of our weekly Select auctions. That is, instead of following Golden Age comics as they currently do, pulp magazines will be the first item type sold on Sundays, with the first lot selling at 6 p.m. CT., and Golden Age will begin immediately thereafter.

  7. I’ve been waiting to post this one, probably the centerpiece of my non-Baker romance collection. If anyone has a high grade 49 to match this hit me up so I can pay for your kid’s honeymoon or something.
  8. These were my two main targets, both of which I had to stretch beyond my expectations to pick up. I would be happy to upgrade either of these. I once had a better copy of My Life and foolishly let it go.
  9. Thanks Andy! This was a fun one to put together.
  10. I don’t know for certain who painted what but I do know for certain I’m happy to have this one in my collection. Alice gets the credit here.
  11. This Bleeding Cool article attributes much of the work to Alice Kirkpatrick. https://bleedingcool.com/comics/ace-magazines-painted-romance-comic-covers-up-for-auction/
  12. The posted pictures were from trips after his diagnosis, so he squeezed every last drop he could out of life. Ed was a 1/1
  13. Ed Jaster, Senior VP Heritage Auctions, and long time comic dealer and friend to so many in the comic community passed away this afternoon, Sunday Feb 25th, surrounded by family and his close friend Lon Allen. Ed fought against pancreatic cancer for the last year and loved comics to the very end. Just yesterday several of us from the Heritage consignment director team spent the morning with him at his house while he told us stories of collections he had brought to auction and showed us some of his private artwork collection. We will greatly miss you friend.
  14. These are put together by our own Barry Sandoval. I let him know the people need to have the info and he told me he will work on compiling them over the next couple of weeks so stay tuned.
