  1. Must say, I was not surprised about the MH Planet 18, with the dust shadows and chip, and without the MH Planet hype from the Dec. 2018 auction. But very surprised at the result for the 6.5 copy. Great colors for sure, but at $4,500 not so sure. Clearly a Planethead run amok!
  2. One of the coolest Schomburg covers IMHO! Fascinating wartime glimpse of how the Japanese were viewed (as foes, naturally, in 1944), and how the Chinese were viewed as victims and U.S. allies being saved from certain pink-shark death by your friendly American superheroes, viz., Sub-Mariner, Human Torch, and Toro. Just a classic cover.
  3. Nice, Jack! So I assume if you're slabbing, you'll be selling!
  4. Congrats!! I like those very much, especially #14!
  5. Cool one, Mr. Comicjack! The artwork is unmistakably H.G. Peter -- this book probably came out just mere weeks before his life would forever be indelibly associated with a major comic book character.
  6. Thanks for sharing the awesome interiors, Gino! The "Mr. Scarlet and Pinky" splash page gets my vote for coolest splash page of the month!
  7. Fiction House thread on page 3?!? What gives! Let's roll with this jungle love, courtesy of a well-known boardie:
  8. Flessel! Or as his friends sometimes called him, "Fless" (I got that from Alter Ego.) Actually... this is not a Flessel cover. CGC has the wrong cover attribution. As per comics.org, this cover used to be attributed to Flessel, but is now attributed to John Richard Flanagan. Just goes to show: don't trust the label!
  9. Very cool book with a great color palette! To be honest, I don’t see how “Dr. Strange” stands a chance against that tiger!
  10. I second that motion! The Rivet books are the heart and soul of the entire Planet run, and these books are sweet!!! IMHO.
  11. No prob, Russ. Thanks for putting me at the top of the list! In the meantime, I'm happy to accept your Tec 31 until the Adventure 37 becomes newly available.
  12. Your direct underbidder here. You beat me into submission! But I’m glad to know the book went to a first-class boardie. Congrats!!
  13. Great pick-ups! That Blue Bolt 108 was a real steal, compared to recent GPA.
  14. Nice one Rick. I hope the red dress meets your expectations. When I bought my 33, the red dress in my copy did not quite match the neon promises in the seller's photo (below). C'est la rouge.
  15. Yowza! That’s a “belongs at the grownups’ table” kinda Planet Comics comic!!
  16. That’s what you get when you request the “surgical” color touch removal option, with extra wide margins to ensure a Universal grade.
  17. Thanks Rob! I also like the unified color theme of purples on the background thingy (?), the bizarre plant in the foreground, and the peekaboo strap under her shirt.
