  1. Well, Foggy Nelson, you have impeccable taste! Seriously, thank you very much for those kind words. I still have another 39.7% to go, so make sure to stay tuned to this station broadcast...
  2. For any of you Fiction House fans who don't frequent the Planet thread, here's a link to the Planet Comics run I recently completed:
  3. PLANET #37 INTERLUDE BONUS !!! From the Lost World story in this issue: Note the awesome doodles by Lily Renee at the bottom of the page!
  4. PLANET #37 This book is pretty cool. The colors really sing on this copy.
  5. PLANET #62 Strange cover, with naked torso guy and the cattle brand on his chest.
  6. So one thing I've learned is it takes a long time to post 73 books. Especially with corny annotations. Kicking off the 2017 edition. I bought at least one Planet every month except February and July. That's a pretty good sign that I was gripped with Planet Comics fever. PLANET #59
  7. Let's move these books to new happy homes! TAKE 15% OFF OF ALL REMAINING BOOKS!! THREAD WILL CLOSE IN 24 HOURS (THURSDAY NIGHT).
  8. WONDER WOMAN #20 ... CGC 6.0 ow ... $425 *** SOLD TO A GENTLEMAN CENTAUR AT 15% DISCOUNT !!! *** Scarce book. Tight grading, maybe knocked down for the back cover marking.
  9. PLANET #52 This was my final pick-up in 2016. In all I obtained sixteen Planets this year, including some more Rivets (#4, 5, 8, 11, 14, 18, 22) and another great Lily Renee cover (#35).
  10. PLANET #64 So for those of you foolish enough to have read this thread from the start, you would have learned that my initial goal was just to collect through #64, that is, through the end of the 1940's, and before the six-issue run of reprints. That all changed of course. I am a pushover for robot covers, and this is a rather good one. That blaster target will surely fell this robot any second now!
  11. PLANET #50 I really like the creative, er, perspective on this book, beginning of course with the skeleton hand gripping a blaster, and ending with the female combatant.
  12. PLANET #42 This was my first pedigree Planet. A Davis Crippen "D" copy. Nice cover. I think @Artboy99 posted a quite awesome copy of this book not too long ago.
  13. PLANET #35 One of three Lily Renee Planet covers. We already saw the #39. For me this one takes the cake. (Cheesecake?) This issue is often mis-wrapped, whereby the orange light in the window frame along the left edge of the cover isn't visible. I prefer copies where you can see more of the window, helping to create a more dynamic space. Mm hmm, dynamic. Like the Renaissance painters.
  14. Let's bring home the rest of the 2016 Planets. PLANET #14 Said by many (well, by a few anyhow) that this book is harder to find than the #15. Census data kinda support this. Another classic cover. Not so many purple Planets, one stand-out being #66. This was a happy day when the hammer finally fell.
  15. Thanks for the supportive words. Yes, it was a bit touch and go at the end. Nothing like a bit of drama before crossing the finish line.
  16. Hi Comic Fans! Last night in the GA section I listed some beautiful early-issue Wonder Woman books, all slabbed, solid mid-grade copies, mostly ow/w pages. Hard to find stuff! Title of the sales thread is: GA Wonder Woman: Early Issues, All Slabs All the best, Jay
  17. WONDER WOMAN #13 ... CGC 5.5 ow/w ... $750 *** SOLD BY PM ** Strict grading. Another fantastic cover.
  18. WONDER WOMAN #12 ... CGC 6.0 ow/w ... $1,000 Winged Maidens of Venus. A classic cover with great colors.
