  1. Umm, my eyesight must be failing me. I don't see no cover... (speaking of popcorn fingers)
  2. Wow. So cool! You've clearly got the awesome Fox collection! So those are your original copies in the frames? (I assume not photocopies...) Great observation on the one hoodie ghoul in WW7. I'd never noticed that outlier ghoul. Maybe a ghoul-in-training?
  3. Great stuff Gino, and thanks for the superb splashes! That's a classic Joe Simon ghoul you've got there on the bottom right of the cover -- with wrinkly prune face, bone chattering dentures, and a hoodie. Just like this guy (from Wonderworld 15):
  4. Subclause § RCC5.V.5.5.8.0 to New Year's resolution: and by all means resist the urge to accept beverages from women with black fingernail polish.
  5. Great way to finish out 2017! Can't wait for your 2018 encore!
  6. Looks like Zolnerowich was channeling Lou Fine on this one.
  7. Thanks for sharing those interior pages!! This one's my favorite of the bunch. The macabre Werewolf Hunter by Lily Renee.
  8. And that's gotta be one of the best back covers ever.
  9. Super cool pair of books, Gino! What a great way to finish out 2017 with the Shield-Wizard #3.
  10. Taking a dip in the Fiction House pool I see. Great looking book!
  11. Great books! I’ve always been fond of #12, but that #34 is frightfully good.
  12. NerV — what a fabulous video clip with Phil Seuling! Thanks so much for sharing.
  13. Thanks Hudson! Your recent "1,000 posts" thread inspired me to mark the occasion. I can't comment on the Silver, Bronze, and Modern threads, as I rarely surf those shores, but the Golden Age thread truly has a great community of collectors, scholars, and wiseacres that I've been really happy to get to know.
  14. Haha, Sqeggs! Clever chap! You caught me out! Yes, I'm having trouble getting past 1000. An acute case of posting block. Thank you for helping me get past this psychological impasse. Let the next 1000 commence!
  15. For my 1000th post, I figured I'd sally forth with Planet #37 Lost World splash page by Lily Renee courtesy of Jon Berk.
  16. Wow, just spectacular! A real metamorphosis! Congrats on that pickup.
  17. This is a thoroughly enjoyable thread. I love some of the quotes in this article. Kaler certainly had a way with words: "But comic books can suspend reality after a day of trials and tribulations when you don't want to get involved in Sartre." Yeah, right?!
  18. Holy Victor! You've really slammed the door on 2017 Fox books! Such an impressive accomplishment.
  19. Agreed. My first time with the cleaning agency. I'll use them again.
  20. Hi @Scrooge. Thanks so much for posting that. She lived a nice long life for sure. Fran Hopper did some great work for Planet Comics, esp. Gale Allen and the Girl Squadron. Here’s a few examples of Fran Hopper’s work from Planet #29, which I recently deslabbed to admire the fantastic art inside.
