  1. I was looking forward to seeing this, but it seems DC can't seem to get that "secret sauce" when it comes to Marvels. Maybe when the normal viewer scores come in, they might be positive.
  2. While it doesn't hurt, my opinion of why AF15 is such a solid book is that it doesn't have movie hype built into it.
  3. I really enjoyed the second trailer. Much better than the first one, IMO.
  4. Fingers crossed it turns up for you. I think there's still a chance it gets located. I've had a package sent to me from 2 towns over that ended up going to a different state somehow. Eventually made it back to the sender a week later.
  5. To be fair, even with Action 1 in news articles, I'd venture to guess the majority of random people you meet on the street would have no idea what it is.
  6. Depending on what condition those were, USPS registered mail insures up to $50K on each shipment, so you could have sent 3. If it was more, I would have done walkthrough as well.
  7. Also agree that lost packages often get routed to correct destination and it's still a good chance you would get it. In the future for expensive books, go USPS registered mail.
  8. I really can't say enough good things about Patrick. One of the best transactions I've done. Communication was spot on, he was very flexible, fast/great shipping, and a very nice guy to boot! A+ seller in my book, would very much look forward doing another deal with. Thanks, Patrick!!
  9. Interesting...he seems so firm on never signing any books...
  10. CR/OW is pretty standard on that book...IMO, the price was because of the holes. I've seen 1 or 2 other ones that presented nice, but had binder holes, and after looking at the holes for a few seconds, I'd pass...
  11. Yikes, I keep the boxes mint as well, so this would be a crappy situation.
  12. Congrats!! Happy to hear you were able to get one!
  13. Those are some great color covers!
  14. At the end of the day, we need to make decisions on how much risk we can tolerate, and approach our purchases/investments that way. Can't swallow a stock market crash? Put less money in it. Will you think about jumping into a river if an AF15 crashes? Time to sell it off.
  15. Really fair point, Speed. I would say if there are people that have decided to use discretionary spending on comics and decided that it would be their retirement, they would indeed be in trouble. Not because of the value per se, but because of how they have planned their financial futures (to your point). If so, the impact to their "retirement" is less so because of the downfall of comic values, but rather, because of their lack of financial planning. We buy comics because we love them, and sure, the value growth is a nice plus, but by no means should anyone be buying strictly comics for investment/retirement purposes. If you want to diversify your portfolio and part of that means fine art or other collectables, fine, but if someone has everything tied into one thing, I would seriously advise them to re-consider.
