I wouldn't use GPA figures for a raw book...raw can go different directions unless you or seller is a professional grader, and can notice restoration. Plus then grading fees/ship, etc.

A CGC 5.5 (with chipping) just went on Clink for $23,500 That 5.0 that went for $29.5 may have either been an upgrade candidate or someone just wanted a strong looking 5.0 copy. I had my eyes on that book but I believe its not upgradeable based on grader notes, really sharp looking book It wouldn't surprise me that a 5.0 with high eye appeal went for more than a 5.5 that wasn't as pretty but "technically" scored better in grading.

There's also a "sold" signed 4.0 that has a $85K BIN that looks like it sold 3 days ago.

Sounds strange, last one (unsigned) went for $18K a few months ago. Then again, people have said there is a 20% swing based on presentation. Last recorded 4.5 signed was $21K. I've also learned to not take everything that "sells" on eBay at face value. Last week I saw a GSXM1 8.0 "sell" for $100 on eBay when the prior sale was $1000.

Really on the fence. I jumped right in to see B vs S and honestly thought I enjoyed it more as a rental.

Honestly with GSXM1, I have seen many copies with SCS on it. So much that I have a 8.5 in the new old slab. It's the second revision with the reduced newton rings/no inner well, but I plan to keep it in there. That was the only book I didn't send back in for re-holdering.
