Hey, a first print is a first print! Only 3250 or fewer even exist.
I thought the first print run was 3K even?

Awesome, thanks for posting! Just used it on something I was eyeing.

It's a cool book and I'd like to add one, but DD as a character compared to Spidey, X-men, etc., just isn't as popular IMO.
-
Just curious but how did you come up with $1K? The book itself is $80 and Stan Lee charges, what, $150-175 for a signature?

Not sure if serious...

That AF15 was a beaut!

My concern here is the pages quality went up..to white which would seem to me to be at the most at risk with rusty staples, the non disclosure is very troubling to me...especially a book of this statute and the prices that are about to being paid...seems unfair at the very least. By cleaning them, and it changes the label...it implies the condition of the staple is material, and should be disclosed.

Even today, you can resubmit a book and get the label notes removed. This doesn't mean the staples were cleaned or replaced.

Thanks, Bob. Correct, it's in a gen 1 new holder so while it makes a trip out there, I wanted to see if the book would also benefit from a press. I do personally think it'll look better, but if it doesn't help the grade, I'd rather save the funds.

I have an AV1 3.0 that I have been thinking about getting reholdered and was wondering if you boardies think it should also visit CCS? Book appears to present quite nicely, and grader notes are as follows:
Very small multiple tear full bottom of cover
Moderate wear all edges to cover
spine stress lines break color
writing bottom of page 1
heavy creasing to cover
It's the heavy creasing I wonder about. Some are quite deep and have areas where it breaks color. Most notable areas are area where it says "Hulk!" down to below Earth's Mightiest Super Heros, middle of cover through Hulk's head/body, lots of creasing near Thor. There are also some large color breaking creases (like the one from Thor's cape down to the grey ant) which will hold back the grade. Just wondering what the group thinks the grade could be if this can be improved.
Thanks!

Still can't believe this is over a few hundred bucks. It got worse when the "my wife got mad" excuse came in and then further down the tubes with the $100 discount ask. Jordy, you're a class act in my book.

I thought it was a blue label at first...a restored copy, I can see the value with a nice sig (albeit, a huge gamble esp. with Stan's writing ability nowadays) and minimizing that restored label.

Sounds like your buyer honestly just likes to complain about everything in his/her life. Some people are just like that, miserable. If I was running USPS, I would rather people double box to reduce my liability for damaged goods (let's be real, we've seen how some boxes are treated). More weight to charge, too.

I'm always surprised what people value their integrity at.

I would not have it signed. While I prefer nice signatures on books, I think the signatures from Kevin Eastman on the side don't look great. One of the few books where I prefer no sig (unless interior page). Would be cool to have one that is certified yellow label for interior page signature and if you took a picture of it.
