Very cool, congrats!

Well, I snuck back into the Club. Found this guy out in the wild today from a man who had it for 50+ years since he got it from the original buyer. Appears legitness, going for pressing and grading this week. Any suggestions on who is best to press, just CCS (and wait 3 months)?
Looks like a nice book. Do tell more of the story! Also, posting it in the PGM makes sense.

It's not a first appearance and the cover is a turn off for many. It's a very cool book but it's a second banana to af15. When people want to splurge on a spidey book, af15 is what they want
Kirby's cover on AF 15 is a turn off for me - much prefer the unused Ditko version...
One needs to add the Ditko ASM 700...

Nice book, congrats! WP!

That's fantastic news!

Also - as I type this response, the ad for "slab pro" keeps appearing on the site...

Is there any reason you're looking for a bumper guard for it? From what I understand, it's a pretty diesel case. I wouldn't expect any issues unless you're dropping it on a stone floor or something...

What a set...nice!

You can only control the way you do business.

70s/80s was a long time ago...maybe FF was just more popular back then. Even thinking back when I was a kid, I don't recall ever watching any FF cartoons back then. For me, it was Batman, Spiderman, and Xmen.

All this talk makes me wonder what that 9.6 would be worth if it came to market...

Got this decent 5.0 copy off a mutual friend - but I'm a little worried.
First off the date stamp that everyone's talking about looks weird - smudged...6/7 or something?
And the bottom left is cracked, not sure if post is intact so wondering if it got swapped or something.
Am I maybe too paranoid? Looks like a decent copy, got it at a decent price.
Thanks!

Willy - looks good to me, solid looking for the grade, slight MC but not really that noticeable. Date stamps are personal preference. As for the slab, for sure I'd send to CGC to re-holder (it will just cost you shipping there and back plus $15). No more than $100 all-in. I'd send it USPS registered mail. Plus it will put your mind at ease once they have the book and would let you know if there was anything to be concerned about. Congrats!

So when exactly did you realize the pricing mistake?
And how much are we talking about? I don't know anything about this book but it does't strike me as an expensive book...

Very strange from such a longtime member

Awesome set

Glad it worked out!!

Is the lower staple on the 4.0 rusted? Hard to see what's happening there.

Whew, awesome presentation! I'm sure flaws were mainly on back...perfect for high presentation and "reasonable" price

I really can't say enough good things about Patrick. One of the best transactions I've done. Communication was spot on, he was very flexible, fast/great shipping, and a very nice guy to boot! A+ seller in my book, would very much look forward doing another deal with. Thanks, Patrick!!
Anddddd I was back buying from him a few months later...another flawless transaction. Thank you!!!!

If that's the case, I'll take all those 7.0s for $35K...
