  1. Thanks, I'm familiar with them as well, was confused by my own mention of IDW. Not sure if they are affiliated with Fantagraphics or not. Many thanks for the reply my friend! -Ryan
  2. I was speaking of the newsstand series, but now you have piqued my interest. Is the reprint series you mention the "Daily Newspaper Comics" hardcovers?
  3. Dear Gator, If you owned the Church Action #1 or the Allentown Tec 27, would you have them professionally graded? Why or why not?
  4. Hi guys, sorry for the off topic question, but I assumed I may get a better answer here than over in modern... Has anyone been reading the new duck books from IDW? If so, how are they? I've been thinking of giving them a try but would like your opinions if you don't mind. Thanks very much!
  5. Thanks guys, I think that's the best plan
  6. Looking for a bit of advice please. I'm looking to re-aquire some key books I sold a while back, and currently have enough for an ASM 129 in around the 8.5 range. Would it be foolish to purchase one now in the midst of the netflix hype? Historically, do prices settle back down, or should I pull the trigger before they go even higher? Would I be better off saving more to get a Hulk 181 in similar condition, seeing there is no movie or TV hype surrounding Wolverine? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  7. Thanks for the heads up, I've just re-entered the hobby after about a 10 year hiatus and didn't know about GPA. I just signed up, what a great resource. I could have saved myself some time
  8. Sorry for the massive image, haven't quite got the hang of these boards yet,
  9. I had some time on my hands so I decided to create excel spreadsheets with graphs to track the sale price of a few key books, including ASM 129 over time. I've done a separate graph for each grade and looked at past sales from ebay, heritage, comiclink, etc. I find it handy to see visually the long term trends in sale price, and whether or not a current grade is selling above or below trend. Here is quick example. For consistency's sake, I have omitted sales of SS and restored books
  10. Am I missing something here? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvel-Comic-Bronze-Age-The-Incredible-Hulk-181-1974-Signed-by-Stan-Lee-CGC-5-/162013289460? Over 5k for a Hulk 181 CGC 5.0 SS Lee
