I love that Batman #251. I will try to get one someday..........
-
Just got this back from CGC. I bought several copies of this right after I saw the premiere of Star Wars in 1977. I can't to seem to find any sales of this issue in this condition. A 9.4 OW/W sold earlier this year for 220. There also is one 9.8 SS listed on the census that seems to have been held on to. There are no other copies above a 9.4. Any thoughts?
That 9.4 was mine tied with the highest graded, that makes yours the single highest graded copy. Congrats!!!
Thanks.

Any interest in a CGC 9.6 WP issue of Marvel Comics Super Special #2?

I love this cover! Jim Morrison would approve.
I also got back a 9.6 that will be for sale.

Please add me to the next OP.

Thanks to Doug Peters at http://www.comicsketchart.com/
for the signings. They turned out amazing!! I also got back a DD #174 9.6 SS (Miller/Janson) and another DD 175 9.6 SS (Miller/Janson). Thanks again Doug!!

Just got this back today.

It may have been silly to get this graded, but I did.

Great timing on this. I had a number of likely 9.8's that had a fingerprint (most likely mine) on the cover that dropped the issue to a 9.4 (it was the only grader's note). The question is: do I try to remove the fingerprint and re-grade or not?

Wow! I will take one.
Will PM the details.

Great books, Hector. Also, thank for the Batman:HQ nn 9.8 that you sent me a few weeks ago. It really looks nice!!

50 books Modern Slow Track pre-screen:
Received 8/23
SFG 9/9
-
I wanted to attach a little bag of M&M's to each order, but that was not permitted.

25 book Modern Slowboat Prescreen
Received - 6/15
Shipped - 9/14
I have books from 6/3, 6/6 and 6/7 all modern prescreens at SFG.
My modern ST books from 6/7 and 6/9 are still SFG. It seems as though the pre-screen moderns are going through the system just a bit quicker than the Modern ST comics. I submitted quite a few at a con last month and all are either at Received or Verified except for the pre-screens which are SFG.

I may give them a call tomorrow. I dropped off 3 magazines, a reholder and 60 pre-screen books at Baltimore and none are showing up in my account yet. I don't expect to see the prescreen books anytime soon but the mags and the reholding I'd have expected to see pop up by now. It's been over 10 days - is that typical?
It took 9 days for my convention books to appear as received and that was at a much smaller show.

Now that on-site grading is done for the year, all of the encapsulators will be in Sarasota working overtime.
-
Comics sent Modern Slow Track rec'd 6/7 still "Scheduled for Grading". I was told they were graded sometime in July, but there is quite a back-up for encapsulation. Still looking at 3 1/2 months for Modern non-FT, 4 1/2 months for Value ST. Hopefully soon.

Mike Zeck, Steve Rude and Mike Grell will be at Buffalo ComicCon Sept. 17-18.

Would you add me to the PM list if this opportunity opens again? Thanks
-
It does. I have sent out most of the 9.8 potential candidates out for SS. I would love to know if Frank Thorne is still signing comics. He is one of my favorite artists. He is 86 and lives somewhere in the NJ area and I know he has not signed for a while, but Frank you are amazing! Time marches on though.

I have some nice Ms.Marvel #3's that look like are in demand. Still in grading though, so I am curious as to the final grade.

I have about 4000 that I have to decide what to do with. They are all 1977-1983... almost everything is 9.4 or greater (most never opened). The question is ... Is there a market for non-key copies of ROM, Ms. Marvel, Nova, Spectacular SM, Red Sonja, Battlestar Galactica, Spider-Woman, Firestorm, Black Panther, Machine Man, Micronauts, Star Trek and What If? I have sent most of the #1s in for SS or grading, but some of the others are not listed as frequently on the CGC Census.

I sent in my best 800 comics. FT would have been nice, but I have had all of these books for almost 40 years... probably not worth the extra 800.00 for a few extra weeks.

660 MST received on 8/23 still at SFG. I would hope for QC/shipped by end of November. No hurry. With that number it was not worth 6k to hear the bad news a few weeks sooner.
