  1. Got to meet him in 2016 when I got the 222 signed and graded. I couldn't believe I was standing in front of Neal Adams, he was larger than life to me. I could just stare at his and Wrightsons work from the early 70's all day.
  2. Congrats, it is a clean book! I need to get mine slabbed also. It's a shame the comic is starting to crash though.....
  3. I think it is a no brainer. 129 hasn't gone up quite like GSX 1 or Hulk 181 the last 10 years, you are saving about 400 bucks off of FMV, iconic cover, apart of the most desired marvel series of all time, etc.
  4. I just picked up the GSX and have had the 94 for a few years. Now time to save for a #1.
  5. Very happy with a new purchase today. I think it can definitely benefit from a press. Thoughts?
  6. Found this yesterday at a 2nd n Charles. I had to grab it.
  7. I have the same comics as well as Raph 1 that I thought about slabbing but I just love reading them from time to time. So I gotta keep em raw. My TMNT books would be some of the last I would sell.
  8. Just a beautiful copy. Can't ask for much more out of a 4.0
  9. ASM 238 by far. It jumped out at me the moment I saw it. 252 is an ok book but been there done that with AF 15.
  10. I know you regret it but this is still incredible. Congrats on the holds.
  11. There is a 9.8 OW/W on eBay right now at auction for nearly 6k. I wonder what it sells for? My guess is around 10k.
  12. Most prized as far as monetary value is the WBN, my favorite slab is the Batman 187.
  13. Based off that presentation, grade, pedigree, and with how hot the book is I would take the XM 1 all day long. FF 1 is ageless and may be the most important book in the silver age though. Both are stellar.
  14. With all those ticks, creases in the front cover, and the stain I am gonna say 3.5-4.0.
  15. If you pay 1,000-1,100 for a nice 7.0 in today's market you are doing well. That is a good grade to buy in at because 7.5's are going for at least 1,500 right now. Iconic book, hope you find one you like!
  16. Maybe I am in the minority on this but with the price of IH 181 going up right now like Bitcoin did last year, I kinda like the idea of an SW 1 35 cent variant on that 6k budget if you can snag one for the right price. Very scarce, a grail, and a brand name that is cemented in culture. Then again this is the collector in me speaking as well, it is hard for me to look at comics purely as an investment.
  17. That spine is in pretty rough shape but the back cover is very nice. I would land on 5.0-5.5.
  18. This book could really benefit from a pressing and I think has potential to jump into the 9's. With that being said I would give this book a 8.0 right now at best. That crunch broke color on the top left of the front cover but it is not too bad.
