PGM Daredevil #16 (Pence Copy)
yogi_bear13 replied to ARyan_'s topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
4.0. It is a very nice copy but that wear near the spine and bottom of the front cover is really bringing it down. -
Beautiful copy but that wear near the spine will brining it down a bit. 6.5 to 7 imo

PGM: Amazing Spider-Man 10
yogi_bear13 replied to Snowdon's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
I am thinking maybe a 4.0 qualified because apart of the story is affected with that tear on the last picture. -

Beautiful copy and a good price point right now IMO. They really start to jump when you get into the 8's. -

I am tapped out for a while after this one but I don't have to tell myself "man, I'd love an ASM 14" anymore. -
What is the status of the Golden Age market?
yogi_bear13 replied to nearmint's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
The status is as a whole still the books are scarce and sales are holding up strongly. Gonna slowly trudge the road of wallet damaging, accumulating satisfaction. -
ASM 1 simply because I have more desire to finish my 1-700 run more than my 1-544 XM run. Can't go wrong with either though.

Market correction , will we see any effect on comics?
yogi_bear13 replied to WolverineX's topic in Comics General
A really nice ASM 1 5.0 OW/W with no marvel chipping sold for 17k the other day on eBay. That is the softest sale on a huge silver age key I have seen in a while. Maybe the overall price drop in assets are starting to hit big collectibles. -

I think we never left the bear market we just papered over it when interest rates fell to zero and all that stimmy was printed to prolong the damage created by covid lockdowns. Now we have a huge problem with inflation and they have no choice to raise rates once again and tighten monetary policy which is gonna cause unemployment to rise as well. Not looking good right now for the next couple years. -

Some will but there is a point where many people need cash and you can only get so much on 1 to 5 dollar BIN'S. L -
Market correction , will we see any effect on comics?
yogi_bear13 replied to WolverineX's topic in Comics General
Investors maybe, as a collector I wanna see prices crash. I am trying to complete runs and there are still many silver age comics I need to reach my goal. As you know Jonah the Spideys aren't cheap. -

yogi_bear13 replied to WolverineX's topic in Comics General
I hope so. Stocks and crypto are getting creamed right now. Many comics, even big bronze keys are already correcting but I want to see what happens with the Silver Age megas here shortly. They have held up well but I don't see how they can hold these parabolic gains enjoyed over the last 2 years. -
eBay is rampant with scammers right now. You will find dozens of listings with IH 181 for example that say "sold" for 10 to 20% what the comic is worth but when you click on it the listing has been deleted. Which is why be careful when you use eBay sold listing as accurate data for comic values right now.

Here are the shades I put in. Still don't like that little crack of light coming through though I don't know how much it will affect things. I may just move the shelve.

Just ordered blinds. Not much light on that side of the basement anyways. The wife and I already discussed that. Thanks for the concern though. I don't want those sun faded. 😁😁
