  1. thank Roo Philips, Gene, for tipping me off. Was due to replace my tattered "first comic I ever owned" copy. oh, and
  2. One bump. When thread drops off page 1 I'll close it, without further bump. Pulled the DS 169, and might pull other(s) without notice. Thanks for looking in. ! Closed
  3. Agreed, it's around same price I paid for my copy several years ago from Rick Akers here on the bds.
  4. Happy (early) George Washington's birthday ! RULES: Pay by check/mo, returns ok but shipping on you unless my bad, nobody on lists, prices reduced from my last thread, shipped double-boxed w/styro peanuts between boxes (a “1092” in a “1095” box) 1 slab =$15, 2 slabs =$18 and 3 or more =$20. Priced at about 10% below GPA/ebay recent e ...bay auctions.
  5. If no one else wants it I will take it at 25% off. Not just the first Abomination but a letter pages missive from Bill Mantlo (according to CGC labels for this iss).
  6. Tough call with that surface wear (light scuffing). I'd feel ok calling it FN 6.0 if I was selling it, but could see collectors at a bit lower, or up to 7.0 -don't know how CGC regards that surface wear, and I'm not familiar with the paper stock used for covers of L&R. Is it like the early Turtles books?
  7. Thanks. When I clicked the pdf link I kept getting dead page. Most def some not-drek stuff there to be sure. Pretty solid bronze collection, lotsa great mags too.
  8. Didn't it rebrand to America's Wang? Off with his wang! That's what I first thought when I saw you say "hands." But kind of too extreme. Then considered the appropriateness of 'eye plucking' since his motive might have been to read the stolen loot, still in the spirit of old timey punishments. And then I looked for the list of stolen comic books, but they only listed a few (same titles as the pic showed, in an earlier article) and it struck me a lot of the 5000 comics are probably drek.
  9. Geez I almost guessed that one, either that or Nosferatu. [Yeah, sure.] Seriously though, happy for you bud.
  10. Might that be the first appearance of Linus's blanket (possibly even the origin issue)?
