PGM Tales to Astonish #46
grebal replied to Dick Pontoon's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
FN+. That top of spine looks a bit rough. But boy!, what great edges and right corners, very sharp. -
You really outdid yourself with this batch man. !

All the remaining Amazing Spider-mans have been sold; via PMs, etc. Only a few books were left, plus a lot of the $2-5 box run filler stuff. My thanks to all shoppers, and buyers, and lurkers, apologies I didn't update the thread constantly to show which books were claimed while I was posting them. You all were 9.4s. Thread officially closed.

Thanks, D.C. Wanted to double-check all the cases including the DD 168 too - all 4 cases are perfect without notes, except 1. Nick Fury has newton rings, and 2. the Doc Strange has c-link sticker on back at top (and comes w a card indicating a 'c-link collection'). $600 Captain America #117 8.0 OW/W -taken by Deadlift C. subject to pics (discount applies) Ok, guess it's impossible to prevent this website from making certain pics automatically upside down no matter the orientation when pic is on my PC drive.
-
And finally, $665 Special Marvel Ed 15 9.0 OW/W -claimed by SkOw This is officially a PIA. Have rotated my pics every different way and this website automatically turns the last 2 upside down. Frig it. Must now work out a way to take pics that won't be automatically reversed on this website; a real puzzle.

495 Avengers 57 7.5 OW/W -claimed by SkOw (like all of the slabs he 'took', he can decline if he doesn't like pics) Three faints marks on the front this brand new case, wtf? How does that happen? Hard to see unless held against light (check last picture, below the CCA stamp). But the pics show why it got 7.5, the right edge of comic worn by a 'heavy thumb.'

Part 3: SLAB SALE Here is list with asking price. Regular Rules from First Post in Thread apply, PLUS Slab Rules e.g. - no returns, $15 shipping for unlimited slabs, ONLY check/MO over $800 but get 10% discount. $48 Amazing Adventures 3 vol.2 9.2 W 340 Astonishing Tales 5 9.8 Sucha W 315 Astonishing Tales 8 9.8 OW/W 180 Avengers 94 9.2 OW 145 Avengers 96 9.4 OW/W 65 Avengers 98 9.4 W 600 Captain America #117 8.0 OW/W 400 Daredevil 168 9.4 W [grd2006] 45 Daredevil 83 9.2 C/OW 100 Dr Strange 179 9.2 W 199 Forever People 1 8.0 OW/W 38 KULL #1 8.5 W unpressed 48 Marv. Collector Item Classic 3 9.2 OW/W 150 Nick Fury 3 9.4 OW/W 80 Nick Fury 5 8.5 OW/W 305 Nick Fury 6 9.4 W 500 Thor 165 7.5 W 195 Warlock 1 9.2 OW 245 X-Men 60 9.0 OW/W Will post pics of CGC books asap, working on it now. Assume all CGCs pressed unless I make a specific note otherwise. Cases in great to perfect shape unless noted. Some have c-link stickers. Spotted 'newtons' on the Nick Furys and ASM 28, & the N.Furys also have scuffs. May find more when I take the pics. [have some pics already, taken before last March] Book notes: The Ast. Tales 9.8 squarebound, #8, is loose in the inner case, but no sign of SCS. Will package it with slight pressure on back of case so book does NOT jostle in transit. Subtracted $35 for est. reholder/ship cost. GUARANTEED not to have shaken-syndrome when arrives or refund will include return ship cost. Some books are not Priced to Sell: Cap 117 priced high relative to go-collect but low vs recent sales on webay BIN "askings" (actually the avg of the two, 450 & 750), it's my only copy so happy to keep. Thor 165 isn't priced for quick sale either, since I held back raw copies of this HIM storyline around this issue (ya know, cocoon cameos ; )). DD 168 9.4 is also priced high, pretty sure book wasn't pressed, it would be nice to keep it, nicer than my raw. Also, fyi, here is list of CGC books for sale in a table that includes GPA info. [click spoiler]
-
And since only rarely do I keep a slab over a good looking raw (or even have such nice copies, being mostly a low to mid-grade collector), here's why I parted with those two nice 'classic' covers tonight. I know, should be tidying up thread and posting recap not taking pics of personal copies. ; ) Will post a recap in the next hour or two.

Captain America 110 6.0 $55, well centered, good color and gloss. Front shows stresses or scuffs around Cap’s boot and a bend bottom rt., and on back cover the bl corner is weak and near top staple there’s some transfer staining that looks like it was on top of a comic with rusted staple (inside is clean)
