  3. mostly Marvel, silver & bronze. Phase 1 raw silver & bronze ASM. RULES: -No one on any board list, including mine. No non-US without prior arrangement, though beloved Canucks will always be accomodated somehow (but you have to actually play for the team). -First take wins, will try to get to PMs asap but please take in thread to reduce chance of disappointment. - Big Orders over $800 get 10% discount but can only pay with checks/MO (even if your total ends up lower than 800). Paypal payment (no F&F) orders up to 800.00. Please pay within 3 days of my PM with total bill. -Raw returns ok, let me know within 3 weeks of receipt. Return for undisclosed restoration has no time limit man-to-man, though let’s set an official term of 10-year limit for prudence’s sake. -Raw shipping starts at $4.50 First Class for up to 2 securely packed in gem. ii ‘mailer’, and $8 can fit up to ~8 std books (same mailer, inside legal-size priority mail flat rate). Special requests and economy ship accommodated (up to 8-9 in mailer shipped media is $4). 10 or more books usually require a box, priority starts at $15 unless I can find a discount. grebal on ebay - krapping ok except Liz2. 100% positive since ‘99. LISTINGS: Thread will be 3 batches, (1) raw silver/bronze Amazing Spidermans; (2) several dozen $2-$5-$10, & lesser ‘wall’ books, etc. These raw books will mostly be underpriced or undergraded (and generally not both or neither). Part 3 the CGC list a couple of posts down, pics I’ll take over next days, and part 4 (maybe) raw keys and higher-grade run stuff. Should wind it up by next w/e.
  4. For all the many negatives, it really is the best way available to reach the broadest market, especially for the items trending hot at the moment. I've been inactive since March '20, but a week or so ago felt somehow compelled to list (on abay of course) V&SW 1-12 lot; it sold within a couple of days. Your lot will sell.
  5. My two cent theory- the internet has become one big comicon when in-person cons are verboten; lots of buyers all in the same "place." And the easy money US Fed Reserve seemingly printing money 24/7, probably helps fuel speculation in physical assets and collectibles, perhaps seen as some sorta 'hedge' against devalued money/inflation.
  6. If story drives you, yes, arguably the best space saga on tape or film to date. If things like fx, production values, acting, not peaking too soon, adhering to formula, or immediate payoffs are what float your boat, there's a decent chance you won't be able to get past 1st season.
  7. Hec, I've not seen a minute of this show. But even before I saw your #12 sell on mebay I'd pulled my 1-12 run for a closer inspection simply because I skim this thread from time to time. ; ) Talk about an amazing phenomenon of the short shelf life of a 'hot key on ebay,' who knows, in another few months the whole set might go back to being dollar-bin fodder again. Information is power, or at the very least, it can lead to a few extra bucks.
  8. My guess is in the 9.0 - 9.2 range. What you called the "printer" is often referred to as "binder". Bindery defects happened during the manufacturing process, so it's just a matter of you understanding the jargon, you already know most of this stuff. Perforations are those holes in the pages, often near the bottom, again, a by-product of the manuf. process.
  9. Agreed, I saw a couple of others (in addition to me) who wanted the Strange Tales 112 in an earlier batch, but as you said, be glad for those who got it, and move on until another comes along.
  10. My sentiments exactly. Pity about that top edge, a low 9s otherwise.
  11. After a thing called Toxic Avenger has vaulted out of the dollar bins, really?
  12. The bottom staple is discolored on the outside, but it's not rust, just discoloration (I've seen it lots of time before). On the few books of my own I saw with this recently, the inside is gray and the outside is brown, presumably just like this Tec here. I think in the current grade range it's not a problem, but I'm not firm on that opinion, I haven't submitted enough books to know.
  13. 8.0, maybe 7.5. About 50:50 chances imo.
  14. +1. I'm also at F or F+. Main defect keeping it from the 7s or higher is that top right, the missing chip and rounded corner. Don't know how bright the colors are supposed to be, but assuming only moderate fading I don't think it will hurt the grade much at this point.
  15. I don't even collect many DCs, though I have some things like Deadman's run in Strange Adventures and Wrightson's first ten issues of Swamp Thing. But I got these: and this sub-fold marred item that pleases me anyway.
  16. The rear splash, a full page with art "pin up" that some collectors cut out of the comic book. I'm in the 3.0/- camp.
  17. +1 Gets the GA 'bump' right? It's not silver age where it would imo get a 5.0 (or maybe 4.5 on a really tough day).
  18. Interesting, thank you. Funny thing I noticed after posting that pic (of my personal copy) is the S resembled the S in Ditko's name on front cover of ASM 9 (Electro), on which his name appears "S Ditko." I assumed forger didn't copy that loop on the "o" from that issue (or the "t"), has Mr Ditko ever looped his oh? And it's just as likely that the guy who wrote Ditko on my comic was copying some other dummy's version, though I can't be sure since I got this one from some guy on ehay.
  19. Among others, ASM 100 and 121 come to mind. And don't get me started on the squarebounds. ; ) As you say, it's inevitable.
  20. Yeah, it was tough to answer your question. Generally I just skip past a 'white stripe' the same as if I don't even need that issue. But yes, I would pay more for well centered if it was compared to a mis-wrap at a lower price. Oddly I don't disqualify a book just because it looks like "2 cents" (when mis-wrap is the other way, front overlapping onto back).
  21. Generally won't consider even buying books with that white stripe down the spine, though I'm mostly a mid-grade collector.
