That's like the only issue of Batman I have, not counting a bunch of Tec (with Adams' insides and/or cover). Agree with you that cover is a little bit faded, but it's not a terrible example of fading, probably reduced from a 6.5 or so. And yours (imo) looks nicer than the 6.0 that sold same day for $80 more, which has crappy wrap and spots of moderate wear.

Hi Ed - is that just dirty glass on some of these, and not defect of the book e.g. see the pic above, the smudges on Venom? Thanks a lot.

Not directly related to paypal - the big (humongous) credit cards changed the rules several years ago - think it was 2018. A lawsuit was settled, and the Visa/MC lenders agreed it was no longer prohibited for vendors (e.g. restaurant or comic book store) to add a surcharge (generally 3-4% based on the credit card fee imposed on the retailer) for customers who used plastic. Or, alternatively, for those retailers to offer a cash discount for cash-paying customer by the same few percent. Paypal not being party to the settlement can do whatever it wants, but it's policy is now firmly outside the practice of remainder of payment-card system. It caught my eye when I went back to hell, I mean home, in NY, a few years ago when all the gas stations offered a cash discount or credit card surcharge. And it seems like all the other retailers joined in the policy, too. The poor slobs, I mean my family and friends still living there could give more precise info. But I've also since noticed some restaurants in Texas have adopted the same policy, and also saw a gas station that does the same (only it had a dime difference between cash/credit price though, not a % based amt like the rest I've mentioned).

Supposed to have a return policy, just a head's up your thread might be disappeared.

A plea for professionalism

Rome wasn't built in a day. And according to those history reading people, it didn't fall in a day either. Thankfully I'll likely be long gone by the time the lizard people take over. -
Fantastic Four #27...could be yours

Looks mostly cool, but return policy should state your time limit. If it's unlimited time for returns, probably best to say so (I don't think that's what you mean). Sad that handshake attitude (which I tend to favor myself) leaves potential for misunderstandings - so the rules have accumulated to fix most of them. Like Changer said, references might help since you're an unknown element (your ebay name, or past transactions w/members since you already had a thread recently - maybe start a 'kudos' thread?). But that's just advice - frankly a rare book or a great price has often been enough for plenty of members along with the pp protections. It is a cool book, GLWTS. -
take please fk me, never mind, will never get this one

Kermit the Lizard. On the receiving end.

lizards2 only plays the the curmudgeon for the comical opportunities it provides. Imagine Robin Williams channeling Michael Douglas in Falling Down. I'm not so sure lizards2 acts like a jerk sometimes just because it's funny. Of course I find it funny. Though my memory is fuzzy whether I've ever been at the receiving end.

CATRICK'S CORNUCOPIA IS CLOSED

That isn't Jughead, right? -
Agreed. I lean to 3.5 but 3.0 wouldn't surprise especially if paper creamy/lightly tanned.
-
Forgive my spotty memory, but didn't you have a super sweet run of ASMs all in the 9.2 - 9.4 range, that you showed us here a few years back? Anyway, these are real beauties, Steve, good luck!
-
9.0, maybe just 8.5 for the lt. edge wear. But if trampled by a dry sponge/steamroller, might pull a 9.2 ? Very clean, and looks pretty fresh and shiny too. Really nice copy.
-
Those close ups and the heavier stock cover tend to exaggerate the defects/wear. Especially that lt. surface wear top left, near the logo box. Love this book. Easy FN 6.0, imo. Tend to grade a bit low, so probably a 6.5.
-
As requested, the other two pictures. These new pics (spine and interior) obv wouldn't increase the grade, but at least don't appear to decrease the grade, at least imo. Thanks again, you all. And I agree w/MrRoboto and jcjames and the rest of you, the missing corner piece pretty much caps the book at 4.0.
-
Thank you - I'll pull it and take interior shot and side shot (of spine) as you suggest- I've had it in my collection a couple of decades as a VG but I'm grateful for other opinions. !

The SME 15, or other ideas maybe Strange Tales 169 (Bro Voodoo), or if you don't already have a GR 1 or Conan 1. Also, Thanos has cooled (IM 55), or maybe a Warlock book (FF 67 or MP 1 or Thor 165), or Man Thing (Sav Tales, Fear 10 or MT 1)? Killraven gets no love (AA 18), nor does most of the S&S stuff (Kull, Thongor, Gulliver Jones ...), probably for good reason - but very 'cheap' relative to same era 'key' books. Maybe Iron Fist 14? Though probably you already have it.
