  1. WAGs are now in. Thanks to Point Five for running the contest, very nicely done!
  2. He said "final sale", but I'd suggest adding cost of shipping, and with big books/big $ that pics without the bags might get better results - and echo the good luck!
  3. Wow, I really gotta keep up with the slang. This modern "grading" discussion is pretty wild. My problem with grading is you used to be able to hire some kids (or sometime old people who dislike their spouse) to flip fast-food burgers for maybe three fiddy and a ball of string and some 'life experience' that would educate them to show up, decently dressed, and eventually lead to a real yob. But now you gotta pay them someone's idea of a life wage. Sheesh.
  4. OK, no worries- I'll just kill this thread. Even long-standing members here for decades and w/well established rep for selling tightly graded raws get crickets from time to time, particularly the past year or so. It's become very common. And if lizzy was one of the dwarves he'd be Surly and not even a little bashful about it. ; )
  5. Probably to be consistent most people (e.g. Overstreet) use the publication title -probably the one located at bottom of splash page (Franky 1 splash shown). Shows up IIRC in Overstreet-type publications as "Frankenstein (Monster of...)". And almost certainly also explains why "Amazing," "Mighty," or "Uncanny" is or isn't used for e.g. Spider-man, Thor, or X-Men.
  6. Stay frosty bud. You ought to leave some of your edgier posts. Funny stuff.
  7. Glad to see you found some reading - felt guilty I was too lazy to photo some TPBs to work a trade in your Copper thread. : )
  8. No 'Weird' Cap America #74 : ( it's on my very short list of 'major' books I'd like to own. Great entry level copies you got here.
  9. Thanks for the information. That's very useful. I just checked USPS and what you said is spot on. Both 1092 and 1095 are now 12" wide, and that changed 9/12/21. I still have some of the old stock that measure 1095 ID 12.375", 1092 OD 12.25", so I should be good for now but I'll make a note to use the 1097/1095 combo next time I order. +1 When my stack of "old stock" 1092s runs out I'm now clued in. Thanks guys.
  10. Mr. Frog - finally got into those MTUs you sent me from your earlier summer thread, very grateful ! Great books, & a useful freebie is always welcome, thanks again.
  11. That really is a great copy and seems to me a great price. If it was still there when you were ready to close up I planned to take it just because, although I don't really need another copy. Sweet book Changer.
  12. Marvel Team-Up 1 VF $60 Marvel Team-Up 2 VF+ $45 Marvel Team-Up 3 F/VF $40 take these three please Great to see you back in the sales forum.
  13. It's certainly not you. Unless it's high grade or bargain pricing it's been very common for over a year for a thread to get only crickets. But we also haven't seen much new blood in a while so maybe that accounts for part of the drop -- besides the the more obvious explanations like rapid runup in prices, along with maybe a little economic slump/a bit less discretionary cash, or even just the 'slow' season.
  14. High grade DC is good because it gives lizards2 a chance to look superior.
  15. I think we talked them down. It actually makes sense in a 'power of suggestion' pov. Wouldn't be surprised if you scored closer to a 6.0 if you sent it in, the major crease bottom right is sometimes acceptable in that grade. But raw books are super cool so I'd vote no on slabbing.
