  1. Wow we have reached 700 posts in this thread. When I started this thread I only had one Tec. Today I have.......well ..One Tec. Frankly I have been enjoying living vicariously through everyone elses books they have been highly entertaining. Keep up the excellent posting fellas. See you at 1000.
  2. Detective27kid, On your Tec #31 at the bottom of the front cover is there a little piece missing? The reason I ask is because my copy has an almost identical flaw in the same spot. Any info on what caused it would be great. -CW
  3. Kudos to Nikos for a superb transaction! Thanks Nik.
  4. Jon Any idea what percentage of the books had the stamp? My book is labeled Carson City by CGC and has a cover date of 1945 but has no stamp or even a faint imprint of one on either Front or back cover. I don't suppose they ever stamped the interior? -Chris
  5. I just looked at mine (obviously not a definitive test) there isn't anything on the cover. No distributor marks just really nice colors and really nice PQ. Am I mistaken or is the Pedigree very small?
  6. I think the books were kept in sheds on her property sliped in between newspaper sections. I may be mistaken but I thought she threw a load of the newspaper away before realizing what was in them. Again I may be mistaken. The books are supposedly great in color and page quality. The one I have certainly seems to agree with that assesment. It is fairly surprising considering they were in Nevada in the summer. Although I suppose the argument for Nevada in the winter could cover the preservation. Back to the Fox books......
  7. MMMmmm That's what I pretend my 5.0 looks like.
  8. Acetylene torch to the face! That's got to hurt. Beautiful book though aside from the poor fella on the cover. What's the apparent grade and the extent of Resto?(if you don't mind saying).
  9. Nice 76. That's cool that you got both halves together. The cover is too nice to let sit empty. Are you going to have them professionaly attached? Norinn - What's vader doing with my book! Also re post the book no one commented on and I'll see what I can do.
  10. Jon that is incredible! Your last line got me thinking. The answer.... 2nd grade. Congratulations!!!!
  11. Thanks Durden, The piece is actually on bristol that measures 14x11 so a little smaller than normal. If you are interested in Mikes stuff you should check out his CAF gallery. He has a lot of work for sale there. He is also a great guy to talk with at the shows.
  12. Okay after a bit the 2nd piece is in. Mike Mayhew Daily Bugle Civil War ed. This is a pin up he did of MJ in a B movie(it appears near the middle of the newspaper). It is amazing in hand. The scan is pretty good though.
  13. Well I think there will be 3 more pieces of art coming in the next few days starting with this one. I am super excited about this. Ed Benes Red Sonja Nuff said(Thanks Court!) I appologize for the large scan. Also I edited the image to conform to the rules of this board but the actual art is in my CAF gallery if you want to see what it looks like unaltered see link in sig line.
  14. Speaking of which. I was kind of surprised it didn't get more attention. I have no idea what Reid art markets for but I feel like I got a deal. I'll just put down that I owe Mike a favor for the page. Which I might mention arrived incredibly fast and perfectly packed. He even added insurance on his dime which I just realized and wished he would have let me pay for. PM me and I'll send you the difference Thanks again -Chris
  15. Thanks Felix. I think I'll be hanging on to this for a while. -Chris
  16. World's Toughest Milkman!!! Thanks to MR. NOT SO NICE. I have been looking for a Reid Flemming page for some time and this one fit the bill just right.
