  1. That looks like it has a pretty cool story.
  2. I prefer it when a low grade book has the major defects in an unobtrusive spot rather than an accumulation of small defects all over it. The cover on that 4.0 looks nice and who cares about the corner of the daisy add if it was out of the front it would be a big deal. I saw a Tec 31 on ebay CGC .5 with a 3 to 4 ish front cover and no back cover. It went for over $1500. As long as the cover is nice let the nastiness see the back.
  3. JB, Dare I ask what the condition of that book is and or is it from a Pedigree it looks amazing. CW
  4. There was a wizard article on cgc a few months back that had many stats and facts about there books. I think the first one graded was a Donald Duck or WaltDisneyComicsAStories (Don't hold me to that I may be wrong).
  5. I recently decided to start working on an early Batman issue run of Det comics 28-38 but after seeing that issue #40 and the Scarecrow cover in the #60-70's I am thinking I may have to amend the bound of the collection. Great books they are just too cool.
  6. Looks like this thread is a success. Great books. I still can't get over how good that #38 looks.
  7. The early Batman tecs have some of my favorite covers of all time. #29 is next on my list of tecs if I ever get the cash. Great books earlyactions and everyone else who has posted so far.
  8. These are great books. The ad in #39 is awesome.
  9. The #73 is very cool. Great books all around.
  10. Anybody else got any they would like to post?
  11. Ha!!! Excellent cover. I'm glad the first post was a great Joker cover. Keep 'em coming
  12. Alright guys I think it is time to start one of these up. If it has been done, my bad. The purpose of this thread will be to post pics of your personal Detective Comics from the Golden-Age. If we run out of material Batman will be acceptable. I don't want to be the first guy to post a pic so somebody else show us your stuff, doesn't matter if you've alredy posted it in another thread go for it. -CW
  13. It caught my eye when I first got the grading guide and saw the copy they had pictured. There were a few copies in SD but they were pretty low grade with the exception of the CGC 6.5. I thought I'd thumb through it once before I decided whether to slab it. The stories look pretty cool, very Fritz Lang-Style or like you said Universal.
  14. Looking for an issue of Fantastic Comics #3 if anyone has got one.
