  1. Just goes to show, patience would need to be a time traveler’s strong suit
  2. Imagine traveling all the way to the past just to have to come right back to straighten out all that carp before attempting another trip 🤣
  3. I see overgraded books all the time but I’m waiting to find that grossly over represented example that I can use to contribute to one of the most entertaining threads on the board.
  4. Ok, now after you wait for the coins to get shipped to you, possibly held by customs if purchased outside of Australia, would you have to fly to the US to purchase each book since the availability in your region may be nonexistent? How many different sellers would you have to make purchases from if the coins can only be obtained individually? Would you also have to purchase vintage Australian currency to facilitate each trip before going to the past? Round trip tickets for flights/ships? Getting a passport? My point being there are just too many factors to take into consideration with a time travel plot that are overlooked by “writers” that are pretty important imo.
  5. On top of the “altering history” plot hole, something that grinds my gears about time travel is how are people paying for the objects they’re purchasing from the past if the currency they travel with is from modern times? 10 cents wasn’t really a pittance 80 years ago so I find it hard to believe a merchant didn’t inspect a coin/coins enough to notice the difference in size and weight when they’ve been handling it on a regular basis, it being the most common form of payment for the time, something I think is an important aspect that “writers” never take into consideration
  6. Decided to keep the old colors with the newer design
  7. Something I worked on today. As a sidenote, I googled Hyperion for reference and it seems the color scheme of his costume kinda mirrors Black Adam’s which I found a funny coincidence since I came up with the idea before looking him up
  8. Depending on how rigid they are, they either provide a slight tickle or poke the hell out of that region …probably helps send him into his ornery “berserker rage”
  9. @CJ Design @Senormac took your advice and I definitely see where the adjustments were needed and then decided to give it some pizzazz
  10. It was definitely a valid point. Rob Liefeld, eat your heart out 🤣 also a valid point and one I hadn’t taken into consideration until your reply. I think it also made me reevaluate the foreshortening of the arm based on the perspective. Welp, back to the “drawing board” (pun intended)
  11. They collect “followers” nowadays …and the funny thing is they may trade or buy/sell them the same way we do comics eventually
  12. Something is off to me and even after a few adjustments I can’t place my finger to correct it
  13. Only if it’s detected but there’s a chance of “conserved” 🤣
  14. My attitude towards collecting is I buy it because I want it not because I NEED it and have always funded my love of the hobby the same way. If I have the disposable income to pick up a few books here and there, great. If it’s something on the higher end pricewise, I have less expensive books I can sell or trade that can be more easily replaced at a later date. I can also accept there are books that are just beyond my reach and doing without has always been pretty normal for me. I’ve also come across “opportunities” but having a conscience is a good way to keep the hobby fun for me.
  15. If you bought anything, did you keep a receipt? Most places addresses are printed on their receipts.
  16. Went back and revisited some old posts…man, this place used to be jumpin’ anyways, here’s something I did last night. Would love to see this thread come back to life
