  1. One thing to take a close look at is the back cover spine area of Spidey 300. It being almost completely black will show every tiny imperfection, color breaking or not that will affect the grade regardless of how close to 9.8 the front cover may look.
  2. sdrawkcab lla era stsop yM or yM stsop era lla sdrawkcab
  3. USPS will still say you were at fault for the lost parcel. It’s just how they roll.
  4. What’s impacting the grade on your book cannot be removed with a press which are the colorbreaks
  5. It could if the grader determines them to be manufacturing flaws
  6. I think you’re at a 7.5 https://youtu.be/mb3RfnWoUIw
  7. 8.5 ish. That colorbreaking spine tick and the other noticeable flaws around the back cover bring it down
  8. I think the tears going through may drop it to 5.5. Still a nice book overall.
  9. 3.0 I think it presents nicely, just the accumulation of little flaws and the missing corner keep it from grading higher
  10. Looks like a small color breaking crease on the top right corner of the front cover (pic loses detail when zooming). As it sits, probably in the 8.5 with what also looks like a little waviness on the back cover and also some ripples along the front right edge. Do look like they’d press out though.
  11. Some pics aren’t showing for me but it looks like some color loss/smudge on the lower right side in the shape of a thumb to which pressing would do absolutely nothing
  12. Look up “comic dry cleaning” on YouTube. Lots of video tutorials and demos.
  13. 8.5 but looks like it could benefit from a press before grading. None of the indents along the spine look like they break color. Yeah, have it cleaned, pressed and slabbed.
  14. I’m in agreement. Structurally, a very nice looking book. I see it in the 7.0 range on the high end depending on how much of a hit it takes for the staining.
  15. 5.5 a press will improve the look of the book by getting out the finger bends but won’t affect grade by much if at all. The color breaks, tears and missing piece are the major factors but they can’t be improved
  16. I hope there are no little kids standing behind that. Seeing my dad’s unmutated taint scarred me for life.
