My next goal is hunting down any of the original Atlas/pre hero stuff they’re reprinted from. Arduous task, I know but I don’t have anything better to do these days

I don’t think it would devalue a book as it would be noted as a manufacturing error. Would depend on the collector. I own a few and I actually like having the odd book in my collection but there are those who prefer their books without such flaws

Thank you. Here’s another one then [youtube]

Doesn’t the last one escape when you add a new one or did you mean farts in jars meaning a new jar for each fart?...and do you have them graded

I was a big fan of Sean Kemp back in his Supersonic days so when they were retroed I had to get them, especially all the new color ways and the 2 exclusives that I’ve still never worn

Since I haven’t been “stylin’ and profilin” for a few years now, my shoe collection is sitting in a storage unit but here’s some pics I managed to find from when I was still “breaking necks” (a term used for causing others to turn their heads to catch a glimpse of your footwear). My goal at the time was to have a different pair to rock for every day of the year....I came pretty close

So, what was the first CGC graded comic you purchased?

Yep, that book has picked up a bit since I picked up a high grade copy a few years ago -

I’ve always said the same thing. My guess is they were actually read and handled by everyone who touched them instead of just locking them in a strongbox hoarding them in hopes of getting rich from them someday. Growing up around that era, I know me and the other kids in the neighborhood passed them around and traded for the ones we thought had the coolest covers. Little did we know they were mostly reprints from the 50s and 60s

I had an awesome week. Added another X-men 10, 1st Black bolt, 1st Vision among others and why that Superman 276 is so hard to find in high grades is beyond me

What's new in your Silver Age collection this week

Mail call and really happy with the seller. I get the impression he’s more of a collector than dealer with how the books were shipped in individual mylars. Definitely adding him to my “favorites” -
Mail call. Gotten for a steal considering I was searching for a different book but I loved the cover and couldn’t pass it up
-
I actually considered the original but I’m a huge fan of the Starlin version. That and wanting to use a wider color palette

Can someone clarify the first appearance of JJJ’s astronaut son before he became the Man-Wolf? Google just gives me his dad and I can’t recall the issue I thought it was but the caption on the cover says “A hero is born” if I’m not mistaken but there’s no remark on graded copies to verify. Somebody help me, please
