  1. Horrible. I will never use them again. I sold some other collectibles through them and they botched the whole auction up. I wouldn't sell a Bazooka wrapper through those clowns. If you have high value comics, check out Metropolis, Mile High or Doug Schmell @ Pedigree Comics. Let's just say more than was estimated by some posters here.
  2. Sold to a well known comic dealer in Colorado. More than doubled my $$. So much for that.
  3. Why did this sell for so much? What am I missing? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Superman-1-CGC-1-0-Restored-Moderate-/184000484531?hash=item2ad74894b3%3Ag%3AsAYAAOSwTO9dqlPt&nma=true&si=IVL0fnnQ6gWYDklm2OrIGBIJ3%252Fo%253D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  4. I have a bank vault safe policy. Insurance at my house is over 4k a year. The premium rates are crazy, and I've never had an insurance claim ever.
  5. Where were you in 2013 when I bought this one? If it's fair priced, I'd be interested. I'd then unload this one if I had one of those.
  6. No doubt. I wasn't selling, just trying to gauge a value to update. I already two independent appraisals on the collection, one from Heritage, on from an appraisal company in Manhattan. Heritage, Metro or Comic Link didn't see an issue with the Archie restore and gave me estimates on the sales for the collection. Archie 1 will always hold a place in my heart for me. I guess similarly to Elvis to Gotham Kid. Messed up to compare the card to any of my comics. Its all good though.

  8. CGC. Only bought the CBCS Archie as it's the highest grade and it's always been a key for me.
  9. I do not see how. ComicLink figures it can bring between 55k - 72k.
  10. All restored, Batman is the third highest grade. Superman is only a 7 though. DC #1 is a 5.5. Heritage says the Batman, Archie and DC # 1 are really nice and could grade higher. Since they screwed me on an auction in the Summer, they've been X'd from any comic sales. Talking to Metropolis and Comic Link.
  11. I had an online scan when I sent it for an appraisal. Yea, I have them all online. My bank has a climate controlled vault, so due to the values, I moved all my valuable comics to the CC vault. The insurance premiums were just too high. https://ibb.co/9r6P0v5 https://ibb.co/BjKXy99
  12. It's in a climate controlled vault along with my Superman, Batman and DC 1 comics.
  13. I am trying to figure out the value of my restored Archie # 1 CBCS 9.2 I purchased several years ago. Any suggestions on how to value correctly?
  14. Not sure why a CGC rep would say that to me. Where would place a comics worth around 1m when the insurance company requires this? Open to options.
  15. Would you guys recommend sending these four into CGC to remove the restoration?
  16. Nope. The 500+ comic lot I've just not really gone through as much. I've kept them bagged and boarded in long boxes in my comic room. I just decided to take pics of them last week. I'm going to either sell them off in singles or in bunches. I have a few people interested in some keys from My Comic Shop and other online places. We'll see what happens. I generally do not sell off my slabbed comics.
  17. Still have a few decades to hit 65, but certainly a consideration some day. I didn't buy them for investments, just comics that I've always enjoyed and wanted to own. I am still shocked at the values. I was going to put them in my office to display, but my insurance company said nope. Sucks they have to be kept away from view. Sigh.
