  1. $350? Those are rookie numbers
  2. I've been submitting books to CGC since 2000, I've gotten 4 9.9s in that time. 0 10s Harley Quinn 1 (2000) Origins 1 Batman The Damed 1 - both covers People think 9.9s are going to become the new 9.8, and that 9.8s will tank in price are beyond delusional. Most 9.9s that get graded are post 2000-now
  3. The SDB is only 10 inches high, they're fine
  4. She belongs to the streets
  5. As much as I love Baker books, I wouldn't be selling a MC 1, TMNT 1 and a SW Wrightson OA to fund it. I flip copper/modern junk to help fund it.
  6. I use the 10 X 10 size, I have 20 stacked high and 2 spines down on the side. Never had a problem, they've been there for years now.
  7. Yes, now the flood gates will be opened...release the krakken.
  8. I'm gonna guess this CL 25 7.5 sells for $125K w/BP
  9. Got this raw with a few others in a trade deal, Just came back the other day.
  10. From these posts of restoration fails, I'd say it's best to just leave your 0.5/1.0's alone
  11. I'm still not sold on the newsstand books, I know comic store owners would get newsstand copies directly from their distributor. So this "newsstands are rare in HG, must pay $500+ for a 9.8" is really a bunch of BS. When I was 17, my LCS owner's son worked for the local newspaper, He would bring in stacks of Spawn 1's and other numbers below #10 with UPC's on them and sell them for half off, So I just laugh at all the people spending $400 for a Spawn 1 newsstand, they're everywhere.
  12. The timeline for QC to shipped is whenever they get to it, could be a day, same day or over a week
  13. I hate this type of advice...cause what most people love is Wrightson, Neal Adams, Dave Stevens, Mcfarlane, Jim Lee, Frank Miller and Jack Kirby and most collectors don't have that kind of money to spend 6 figures or millions to just "buy what they love" "Buy what you love" doesn't mean "Buy garbage that you love"
  14. Yes, the site is legit, if it's sold he takes the book off the site right away. He sends out new arrival emails and people snatch up books right away. I've been buying from him for over 20 years now. Never had a problem.
  15. I was offered 17K for my 4.0 25, then was asked what my number be for me to part with it, I told him I'm not gonna even think about selling it for less than 50K, he said he'll keep looking elsewhere. I can see the 7.5 hitting close to 75K+ maybe even 100k, where are you gonna find another one that high? Which is what will drive the price.
  16. It's just the same books being resold over and over again which makes it seem like there's a lot. In general, 30 isn't a lot. I like golden age cause only 30 copies are across all grades and you can pretty much name your own price, anyone who complains about it you can always say "ok, go find another...
  17. Yup, Heard a dealer at a show who valued someone's collection at 20K and said he thought his 8K offer was fair. Look at Very Gary on youtube...He pays next to nothing then charges insane prices for stuff
  18. Alex Ross doesn't bring Kirby's energy and design to the page
  19. They want 9.8 money for a 7.0 raw copy...usually that dealer is a comic store owner
  20. So you're only go by what "seems" scarce in comparison to others around it, 30 is 30, no matter how you compare it...7 Billion people in this world, I think more than 30 want that book in 9.8. In the sports card world, 30 is considered incredible rare, even 2000 is considered rare. Most people aren't cracking out 9.8's to get a 9.9/10, they are cracking out 9.8's cause they don't like slabs.
