  1. Just got in a bunch of great key books in HG. I've included back cover scans on most. Paypal preferred. Worldwide Shipping available. PM for a price quote. Free Shipping in the USA. No Returns accepted due to 3rd party grading. Claims the Book. All slabs are packed in 16 x 12 x 4 shipping boxes. Offers good till Monday and all unsold books will be moved to eBay. Price $480
  2. He accepted because he had the book for 6 months and just wanted to get rid of it. goldenapplecomics has BIN or BO on thier stuff and will counter offer back with only $1-3 off the listed price, I messaged them and said "Why even bother with a BO? They just blocked me.
  3. No matter what the price is, buyers will complain. People even complain over something that's free.
  4. I wish I could tell every buyer, best offer does not mean 50-60%off. Had this happen multiple times. Even if I do set the BO price, I still get messages saying "Hi, would you be willing to do $40? (book is priced at $100) I can pay right now"!
  5. Glad I passed on that detective 27 I found at the goodwill since it had light tan pages
  6. Comiconn already past...the show was absolutely terrible in terms of comics, it's more of a pop culture show, I heard attendance was only 1200. The aisles were basically empty. I would never go back again. I'll be at terrific con though tomorrow, much better show.
  7. An 8.0 181 with white pages just ended on eBay for $5100 ...unreal
  8. Found this at a comic store, they had a Batman/detective collection come in, They had Batman 121, 171, 181, 251 as well as Detective 290, 359, 400, 411. All sold out in less than a week...Glad they still this Detective 233. Grade is about 3.0-4.0. I'll press it and drop it off to CGC at terrific con on Friday.
  9. I open non payment cases after 3 days unless the buyer contacts me, People have time to bid, they have time to pay. It's 2 clicks and payment is made. No excuses.
  10. Yes I will one day, I'm not one of these guys who will "have it buried with me" in retirement I will eventually sell it all.
  11. A vacation is just a change of scenery, a car is just a money pit to get you around and i've always looked at comics as an asset, a long term asset
  12. people shouldn't be keeping their money in a regular savings account anyway
  13. UPS does the same thing, Home all day, check the tracking only to have it say "No one home, another delivery will be made" I live about 20 mins away from the UPS center and just have the package held for customer pick up.
  14. Strippers make so much money they usually don't finish or go to college anyway
  15. This stuff isn't getting any cheaper for the dealers either, it's not like they can call up Marvel and say "I'd like to order 200 copies of any non-key Byrne X-Men, just bill me later"
  16. Thor 337 isn't copper, it's Bronze, came out in 1983 if we are talking 1984-1991. Marvel Graphic Novel 4 came out in 1982 and Spawn 1 came out in 1992.
  17. A lot of people are like that. I'm an aggressive buyer when I want something bad enough or if I believe it has potential, it's mind blowing when a buyer refuses to throw in an extra $100 or so to get what they want. I see it on comiclink all the time. Buy price $5000 Offer price $4900. a year later same book, same grade Buy Price $8000.
  18. Almost every comic collector wants one, and it's becoming "i'll take any copy" restored, missing stamp, raw, slabbed, qualified...people don't care. it's the "I have to have it" mentality that's driving prices.
  19. Our presses run Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow
