  1. If he screws it up, he doesn't have to redraw the whole thing over again
  2. I use them all the time and ship them 1st class. I don't get any compliants and I don't use any reenforment. Just a run of bad luck?
  3. $4 a comic is way too much, they justify the $4 cover price by using HQ paper and digital coloring. Also way too much cheese cake art in comics now, a lot of readers are women nowadays and they don't want to see that. I blame the editors at Marvel/DC for a lot of today's comics problems. They are the ones who approve what the cover is going to be. If comics were cheaper, they would get into the hands of more people
  4. Well if we all promoted Joeypost on this site, would that be rude too?
  5. Not all pressing solves eliminating spines stress lines, they can still be there when the book is seen under the light. What pressing can do is help improve their appearance. I became unhappy with CCS's turnaround time and cost, so I learned how to do it myself. CCS did alright for the submissions I sent them. I did send them an Aquaman 19 and the spine split at the top staple, of course DC silver age books are very fragile and it's the risk you take when pressing them or any book for that matter.
  6. Can't forget the "Marvel Digital Edition" sticker inside the back of every modern book now, Pressing them without a buffer will cause an outline on the back cover and ruins any chance at a 9.8+
  7. Doesn't look like it needs cleaning from the picture
  8. Do you actually keep anything or does it all go up for sale?
  9. Any plans to update the website? Add to cart feature?
  10. I see this saying all the time on FB groups "Man, I can't wait to get this book pressed, signed and graded" Now for the other DIY pressers who think buying a cheap $100 T Shirt press while they stuff backing boards inside the book try to give other people pressing advice who've only been pressing a month drive me up the wall.
  11. I press my own books, I would never stick a card stock book (Example: Dark Knight Returns 1 ) into a humidity chamber.
  12. I'm waiting on 2 copies to come back from CGC, Already have a 9.8 and 9.4. People are hitting BINs on ebay for 9.6's
  13. I'd never buy a Jim Lee without Scott William's inks. Jim isn't that good of an inker and he knows that.
  14. It's fake. there is a stop and restart dot between the A and N in Mcfarlane, When Todd did in fact write T Mcfarlane, he always put a dot next to the T
  15. I'm sure there's more than 114 people in this world that want a 48 in 9.4
  16. FF 52 is another common book, People could say they are skeptical because of the supply of Hulk 181's...look how that is turning out? Besides, FF 48 has a much better cover than the 52. It's all about demand, it's not like they printing up more FF 48's with 6 other variant covers by 6 different artists. I wouldn't worry about FF 48's future. You won't be digging these up in dollar boxes saying "Wow, I remember when these used to sell for thousands, now they are dollar books!
  17. Well its unfortunate that these "warehouse copies" didn't maintain their NM/MT condition over the years.
  18. As far as the 48 goes. #1 would be centering first, that book's miswrap and the "ARVEL Omics Roup" drives me crazy. #2 Would be page quality, It's it's cream to off-white or Off White...I'll pass. #3 Date stamps/Writing...This is the least of my first world problems as long as it's not excessive.
