Would have been around 89-91, I think it was one where they were storming a castle? I may have a copy somewhere. My teacher's name was Scott Dixon, so he'd be listed as the writer.

    Thanks!

Post a photo when it arrives in hand.  Curious if that is fading or printed that way.  I don't know why this issue (more so than others) varies so much in saturation. Maybe i just see it that way because of the blue background?

I will. Out of USA at moment

I currently have a 2.5. If I had been smart, I would have sold it for $50,000+ at the peak of the frenzy, and in turn, I could now use that money to purchase a 4.5 - 5.0.

Has my book decreased in value? It most certainly has. Am I worried? I couldn't be less worried than I already am. I have no intention of selling this book during my lifetime. My wife and my children can sell it whenever I pass on, and they will have to pay no taxes on the sale.

However, it is still worth more than double what I paid for it. And, for the record, I have an AF #15 CGC 2.5. Not a lot of people can say that they have an AF 15 in any grade. Low grade is better than no grade.

If you had sold it you would have had capital gains tax, but I don’t know, could you have still bought the 4.0 now ??

Mine is a 6.5 (some said here that it could easily pass as a 7.0 but that I don't know I am not a grading expert I just purchased it because it looked nice to me) but anyone here that owns one should be happy they do and if they are young they should hold on the cold period will pass. I am in no rush with my sale will wait for the price I have in mind otherwise will pass and just keep waiting. This is not a book anyone should be in a rush to just get rid of.

    Is yours a newsstand?

From what I can tell, original comic scripts are kinda like original movie screenplays - not a lot of people interested in them except maybe academics studying comic history or aspiring comic book writers (and they can find samples online for free https://www.comicsexperience.com/scripts/).

So scripts don't seem to be easy to buy/sell/trade as collectibles. I took a quick peek on eBay and only saw four for sale. I have three in my collection - two scripts I bought from writers at their table at a comic convention, the other one a Marvel-method synopsis I bought thinking it was an original but turned out to just be a cheap third-hand photocopy. Which is kinda why I quit seeking them out.

The publishers own the rights to the original scripts, so they could publish them if they thought there was a demand... but there's probably no demand. Years ago Marvel published a "Ultimate Spider-Man --script Book" with several Bendis scripts, though that book's long out of print now.

    Thank you!

My high school history teacher used to write the scripts for these about 30 years ago. He would always slip in references to US history (there was a whole secretly Nixon themed one) that I'm sure his students were the only people in the world to know about.

I’d be interested in the Nixon ones  anymore info

Not even certain that is fading. I frequently see 251’s that look they were printed with low ink cartridges.

Fingers crossed. I really wish I’d do my due-diligence sometimes in this hobby (and life in general) but hey, I take it easy, get paid, get laid, break hearts and leave skid marks!

  8. Well at least I’ve got my fav tec and Batman covers/stories now. Prices are too much for me, more than I care about owning book. Luckily I’ve never cared for cover of Batman of whatever one is Batman/castle/dame in distress/some scarecrow looking guy chasing her

I bought the TOS #49 at Motor City last may.  I get home and compare it to a Thor #165 i submitted myself that to me looked 8.5/9.0?  Can anyone explain how these are both 7.0?

Should I send one or both to CGC instead?   I'm baffled and very disappointed.

There is nothing hidden.  Back covers show just like front.  No tears or creases, etc...

the entire inside of the comic is hidden
