  1. What married person doesn't every now and then? My life is much richer and fuller with her, flaws and all. I'd be a fool to divorce.
  2. The big book, I suppose is TTA #27 CGC 7.5 I picked up at Terry's con. Strange Tales #110 CGC 3.5. HG Swamp Thing Run Vol. 1 and Vol.2 from Pickycollector. Mostly Bronze stuff: Star Wars #1 CGC 9.6. Invaders #1, Killing Joke HG, etc. My collection mostly concentrates on Frank Miller: DKR #1 9.8, One SS book - DKR #1 9.6. along with DKR run and Batman Year One. Have Miller's Daredevil run including 158 and 168 in HG (Newstand). In hindsight I wish I had more thought out the Miller Daredevil run and only bought 9.8 newsstand ones, but I have multiple copies in the run, all over the map -condition wise. There's a couple more I'm forgetting.
  3. Since getting back into the hobby in July of 2016 I've put together a nice little collection. Last night the wife put me on a comic buying "Time-Out." Can't buy another book until Terry's con in January of 2018. I'm not complaining. I'm not complaining at all.
  4. not sure how to find someone's particular store on ebay ??
  5. Man, those are beautiful! I'm beginning to put my CGC 9.8 Miller newsstand-run together. could I have the ebay store link? thanks
  6. Mostly because I like the dancing banana icon.
  7. The dancing banana is because the book was from the collection of Mr. Magik Woo. I think the 78K price difference is fine, because the book is from the personal collection of Mr. Magik Woo.
  8. Perhaps this has been discussed before, the GPA for the Heritage 8.5 AF 15 Feburary 2017 sale is listed at $155,350 but the hammer price was $130,000. Why is the buyer's premium of $25,350 included in the GPA? Or is that standard to include buyer's premium in GPA Seems like the book should be valued at 130k. I guess. What do I know.
  9. Has there ever been a book (or other collectable) that has not been affected by the "natural cycle?" Thanks for having all the answers to life G.A.tor and tirelessly sharing it with others.
  10. Alright, for how long G.A.tor.? You're the Answer Man and I need answers. Thank you!
  11. Gator, What the oddest thing you've ever found within the pages of a comic you've bought? Money, secret love note, pirate treasure map, nudie polaroids, last Will and Testament…?
  12. is it an influx of books (temp graders?) that creates a loose period?
  13. I liked to know the venues you guys frequent, it's just overprice drek wherever I go. Antique Malls always seem to think ANY comic is worth 15$
  14. I've read in threads here and there talk of "tight" grading periods at CGC. I'm curious what time frames are considered "tight" and what time frames are considered "relaxed" and why periods are such. And specifically, I recently purchased a CGC slabbed book that was graded in late October of 2016 (10/31, I believe. Not sure) and was curious if this was considered a tight period of grading or a loose one. Thanks!
  15. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. A Goggle search doesn't reveal much more about him. Any ideas on where I could obtain more info about this collector? As always, thanks.
