  1. Indiana University has a course in comic writing/drawing run by the Delta Zeta Sorority sisters:
  2. i mean the girls. i was trying to edit out the photo of the insufficiently_thoughtful_person guys.
  3. They were gonna use scenes from Chud (canalbistic humanoid underground dwellers) but couldn’t get the rights. damn I’m smart.
  4. They're watching The Evil Dead at the Arryo Theater in Santa Monica. Thought I'd let you guys know. Clock going crazy scene to be specific. You guys are lucky I'm around.
  5. the VERY WORST slabbed book for having random junk in it is The Dark Knight Returns #1, 9.8 no less. F-ing amateur hour.
  6. well there's an AF15 coming to a CC auction starting monday 10/22 ending in December: https://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=855235 It's an 8.0. AF15's on the decline, sales are flattening as collectors are moving on to other "big" books. I say it sells for around 100k to 125k. Cream to OW. Graded 3/30/12. Might not even break 100K, unless you feel as though it's crackable to flatten it some more and get a 9.0 and get that sticker that says it's extra good. That sticker is good for resale! Then you can flip it and maybe get 135K and get some variants like that ASM 667.
  7. this thread needs a serious bump! Used to be the top thread of the SA subforum each and every day. But thread has fallen on hard times Pretty soon, the way things are going, we aren't going to be able to give away our AF15s. It's going to be like that NFL Superpro comic or Team America or that Marvel comic about the Pope. I shudder to think of the future of this once and mighty comic! The kids won't believe us when we tell 'em about the greatness it use to hold. RIP to you, AF15!
  8. I keep reading thread title as: “Are there any CGC graders you dislike for no reason?”
  9. I understand the urge to hit an-out-of-town comic shop, but, well, not much in Los Angeles. No GA. Anywhere, really. Earth 2 in Sherman Oaks is near you and best, I find. Ask for Carr.
  10. Don't go to House of Secrets. They are all kinds of scuzzy. Best to just take a walk in the mountains there in Burbank. But if it's comic stores you want, it's kinda not great. Gotta a car?
  11. I had never heard of Pitt #1 comic until this thread. Looked on ebay and they be asking 250$ in 9.6. And don't start that BS that asking ain't gettten'. You guys just trying to rip OP off and get it for cheap. Sharks around here! Everywhere!
  12. Well he was. Built by the aliens. When I first moved to LA the Universal Studio tours still had that rotating ice wall or whatever that Steve Austin and Bigfoot fuaught in. That and the A-Team action/adventure stunt show. The studio tour was a little more down-home then with picnic tables in the lunch area and Cylons would be walking around, greeting you. That was when LIFE WAS WORTH LIVING BECAUSE OF THE BETTER QUALITY OF MOVIES/TV! Penelope Windust
  13. I honestly tried to watch it but couldn't figure out my Netflix/HBO password so I watched The Six Million Dollar Man on Cozi TV instead. It was the one where Bigfoot is revealed to be an alien.
  14. A kangaroo could have killed this woman in Australia but it turned out to be husband for life insurance. Next episode seems to be about an arsenic killing. Stay involved with this thread you guys.
  15. Any suggestions for Facebook groups for laughs? Can watch Forensic Files and laugh at Facebook sellers.
  16. You can’t erase stuff on the computer. Don’t look up stuff like “How to kill your wife” and then erase it.
