  1. Something a watch geek said over where those geeks hang out: The strength of the Grand Seiko watch is met with the power and force of the king of monsters and with it a brand new creation in the sport collection is born. The creature makes its fierce presence on the watch in a number of ways. Godzilla's signature roar and the "heat ray beam" that it shoots from his mouth to strike his opponents is expressed in the rays of the red dial.
  2. Just tell him pressing isn't restoration and start sending him money.
  3. Not me. I do have a Grand Seiko SBGR023 tho! http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=msg&th=1841774&rid=0 Here's what someone says on the Seiko forum about the Godzilla Grand Seiko (I know you don't care): The strength of the Grand Seiko watch is met with the power and force of the king of monsters and with it a brand new creation in the sport collection is born. The creature makes its fierce presence on the watch in a number of ways. Godzilla's signature roar and the "heat ray beam" that it shoots from his mouth to strike his opponents is expressed in the rays of the red dial.
  4. Boardie Pickycollector had a Godzilla raw run for sale around here a while ago. And if it was from Pickycollector's collection, well, it's probably better than a 9.8.
  5. I liked the Gold Key (?) Twilight Zone books and Ripley's Believe It or Not. I made a super-8 monster film as a kid and ripped off the WEIRD! EERIE! AUTHENTIC! from the Ripley's comic book front cover for my monster movie's poster I hung around the neighborhood for my basement premier!
  6. Details, my friend. What were the details? But yeah, this is when Spiderman was Spiderman. I can almost taste summer and Farner's Trading Post in rural Virginia where I'd spin through the racks and grab books! Good stuff!
  7. Avengers #172. Of all the keys and a mega key or so that I sold when I stepped out of the hobby in late 80s I wish I had kept this one. my dad bought it for me.
  8. Holy Cow! I don't even know how to figure out what's going on.
  9. serious question here: would this be a good drawing if the chest was just normal?
  10. you speak the truth with few words (at least about AF15), a quality rarely seen in this world. This trait, at times, is not as exciting as saying really stupid stuff like the Chinese will save comic book collecting and make every purchase bullet-proof (so buy She Hulk #1 9.8 for $22,000) or other equally insipid ramblings around here.
  11. Facts are so boring. More stupid gossip and remedial speculation, please!
  12. I really miss the discussions re: AF15 that bring in the Chinese. When Chinese collectors discover Spiderman and AF15, heck with all their money prices will likely soar. And now they can have two children instead of just one so that's twice as many Chinese collectors looking to buy AF15.
  13. Keep your mouth shut and file the lawsuit. Attempts at saber rattling reveals you to be a punk.
  14. not to bore you with horology if it's not your cup of tea, Seiko and Grand Seiko are kinda storied watches in the history of it all. Having a "Godzilla" Grand Seiko is beyond tacky. Just my lousy opinion.
  15. this is actually kinda sad. https://www.grand-seiko.com/us-en/special/sbga405/
  16. she had an affair with one of the Guns and Roses guys when we were dating so yeah, could be.
  17. Is the girl Joker movie (Harlan Quinn or whatever) a superhero movie cause she's posting up a storm about that one. Hey I'm gonna post on her facebook that she should see the Joker cause it's a great and important film. I'll report back to you cats how much S... I get
  18. this is probably gonna open a can of worms (hey why not as I'm bored and trying to put off packing for an upcoming trip) and it's not my usual I hate all modern movie kinda posts, but I have noticed something of interest with this Joker movie: An old girlfriend who is a hollywood costume designer is crazy about all these superhero movies. I actually got her into comics back in the late 80s on a film when I gave her my Batman : The Cult miniseries by Bernie Wrightson (which the dumb b.... lost). Anyhow she's caucasian (can I say white?) and goes on and on on Facebook about how this minority is now gonna be superhero movie, Magneto is gonna be black and trans in the next X-men movie and so on. She had a thousand posts about Black Panther. You get the idea. Virtue signaling maybe. Or maybe not. I dunno. But not one word on her Facebook about The Joker movie. Not a single peep. And she posts endlessly on every superhero movie.

  20. Oh, no, not the Water Cooler. Oh well. My wife wants to go out to eat. Again. See ya....
  21. i swear I started a Daniel Johnston thread. I don't know where/why it went
  22. Yes. There are many "lost" independent cinema on Nicolas Winding Refn's site. He's doing an amazing job of saving and restoring some of these movies that would otherwise be lost forever. The site is a little to arty in it's navagation, but man, the movies they have saved.
  23. If you get bored and are looking for a movie, watch this one and tell me what you think: https://www.bynwr.com/articles/spring-night-summer-night-1
