  1. Nah.... it's too much deadline kinda work to be involved in drug taking. Maybe Steve Gerber, but Lee and Kirby and Ditko, doubtful
  2. Lee and Kriby's creations are soooo real.
  3. Your response was insinuating that I'm masturbated by a cartoon character created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. This is true and the embarrassment of that reality becoming public has hurt my feelings. Mods notified.
  4. Quicksilver has gotten me thru some tough times.
  5. I understand that. Curious if it is a good strategy is or not.
  6. I'd love to read some kinda study done Re: when a Book X sells for a ton of dough (taking folks by surprise) if other copies come out of the woodwork, owners thinking "I've got Book X and based on that last sale, now's the time to sell." If statistics reveal that was a good time to sell or not.
  7. Gotta laugh thinking about the guys in the studio producing and creating those GRR discs. Smoking cigarettes and counting down the hours to go home. EDIT: Upon further reflection, I'd rather the GRR discs have been made in the 70s when blow was every where in recording studios. Can you imagine listening to those GRR discs made by voice actors and producers coked out of their minds?
  8. Thanks for your thoughts. I was aware that X-Men was in reprints and not doing well and was close to cancellation. Wasn't aware of DD's position regarding sales.
  9. Thanks. I'll look that title up. Why did Byrn refute it?
  10. Are you talking only Flash #123 story or is traveling thru time something Flash does a lot? As I've stated, never really read the title except for Showcase #4 and Flash #123.
  11. Ok, back to ignore with you. Quicksilver is much more powerful than The Flash.
  12. Thanks. Do you know when each title kinda took off?
  13. Stop being sarcastic. Better to go in the kid's hospital room and steal their comics than steal their pain meds. Not that I was thinking that. Just to head this off at the pass for anyone looking to get offended today: I'm joking.
  14. thanks for posting this. never heard of Quality comic's Quicksilver. Interweb research says first appearance in Quality's National Comics #5, I think. I don't understand how Quality was bought by DC, became DC but Marvel grabbed the Quicksilver name/trade-mark/whatever.
  15. i'm too tired to think of anything witty. Nobody got me a ROM doll. I'm having surgery at Huntington Hospital on/around July 22nd. I plan on taking all the comics donated to kids at the hospital for myself. maybe someone has donated some BA or CA stuff. I'm gonna be in there for about a week. I'll put the comics under my bed pan and press 'em with liquid and heat!
  16. that video was brilliant. brilliant in 15 different ways!
  17. When did these books hit and become the it comics? Was Xmen a hit and become a hot book right from the start in 1975? Same question re: Miller DD - A hit from #158?
  18. Please go sit in the corner for 30 minutes and think about what you just said.
  19. thanks. i remember reading something about conflicting ways of pronouncing Submariner. Everybody was involved in the conversation: Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Bill Evertt. Maybe it was in the letters section of early ASM?
