  1. that's some hardcore OG sh*t right there.
  2. He could run away from the flames easy
  3. I got the hots for Crystal. FF 150 (?) they got married
  4. How about fav character: Quicksilver or The Flash? I think Quicksilver is a far better character than The Flash. Full disclosure - I’ve never read The Flash.
  5. I haven’t read xmen 4 in a long while but I really liked Quicksilver and scarlet witch origin story in or around avengers 181. Any QS fans know best story?
  6. What s cool comic! Someone read and loved that thing. I say good buy!
  7. I commend the OP for saying "Thank You" and being gracious. A true rarity for new members who mostly seem to make a lot of noise, ask a million questions, than yell "F-off" as they defiantly disagree with members with tons of experience than"drive by" with a final "F-you" in a cloud of dust. You can see why some get edgy around here. I think saying "please," "thank you," "yes Sir," and "yes Ma'am" is important for young people today to do. They often don't. When I see a young person on the street I'll pull over and take them aside and practice "thank yous" and "pleases" with them.
  8. You're asking someone to put in a heck of a lot of work in all that question asking. I honestly got tired reading it, can't imagine answering all this. I think because you're asking so many questions you're gonna get a lot of snarky answers. This, I believe, is because people new (like yourself) barge in here and ask for someone to spend a lot of time to educate them. And than not even saying thank you afterwards. Not that I would accuse you of doing so, it's just a statistical thing. I see it happen, oh, 98% of the time. I'm just trying to explain the snarky s-storm that's brewing and will come on full force on about page 2 1/2, eventually locking the thread. Many, many collectors here have worked very hard to learn what they know. Spent a lot of money to learn what they know. Spent a lot of time to learn what they know. And now you're asking for them to just tell you, everything. Try to respect them and their time. I want to welcome you here. Please stay and take your time with this hobby. Perhaps take a chill pill and ask a question or two. And say "Thank You" many, many times. I'll put in a bit of effort here while I'm doing laundry so some other members can skip those questions and answer others. The answers to many of your questions are subjective. Press any books you like. Prices are all over the place in comicdom now. Without a specific title and issue number it's hard to say if something will increase in value. Again, I don't want to come off harsh. I want to welcome you and just try to explain the s-storm you dialed. BTW, what's your favorite storyline? Titles? Writers? Artists?
  9. I was gonna buy a pretty big key book. Budget wise I figured about a 4.0-5.0. My wife said no, go for the 8.5. I have no complaints about my wife. At all. She is the singular best thing that has ever been in my life. I look at her and wonder why women don't run the world. And she's waaayyyy hot. I've seen the world because of her wander-lust. But the travel budget has eaten into the comic-buying budget. And she has no interest in children!
  10. @kav. Thank you for posting those notes. Thought I mentioned it before, in case I didn't, thanks for taking the time to do that. enjoyed them. I saw Seth about a month ago. cool dude. why did you redact parts?
  11. No one tells me what to do. Except for my wife. She told me to.
  12. Look at the coincidence of all this. I have a 94 - 134 HG raw unpressed run already and trying to build a second collection, a private reserve if you will, like you. So your private reserve would become my private reserve. It's a private reserve if you own the run or I do, so it's the same. Sell it to me.
  13. appreciate you posting that. and all the post. went to this dude's website and saw the SD Hulk #6 OA for 40k. This sounds kinda cheap. But I dunno OA.
  14. He was upfront about it. And I appreciate someone broadcasted their, um, BS right from jump.
  15. I guess there's distrust all around. "He's asking so he can get it pressed and make more money than me!" Or I'd like to not have pressed books in my collection if I can help it cause I feel it's restoration. Just my opinion. It's close to impossible these days anyways to get HG raw keys cause everyone runs to press/slab em. Hell I just wanna read 'em in original form.
  16. He would respond, "I'm not interested in your bullsh*t?" from the sounds of it. As I said, noted.
